Let's say you made a Full BAB character who has a high Str and dumped Dex completely (i.e. 7 Dex). And let's say that you've worked around/compensated for other aspects of having such a low Dex.
What are some Ranged attack options to use as a backup, for when you can't get into melee?
Options I've considered:
1) Carry around a Wand of Magic Missile and put ranks into Use Magic Device.
2) Use Alchemist's Fire/Acid Flasks (for Ranged touch attacks).
3) Dip into a level of Gunslinger, and use a gun to make Ranged touch attacks.
Anything else that is Pathfinder-specific (i.e. no third party stuff)?
On an un-related note, man, do I miss Brutal Throw from 3.5...

Buy a belt of mighty hurling. Then you get Strength to hit and damage with thrown weapons. It also gives a +2 to strength and increases thrown weapon range by 10ft.

Combine that with a Chakram, the longest ranged throwing weapon with the highest damage. 30' range, damage.

You can always get strength on damage rolls, but the belt allows you to get it on attack rolls as well; this is the only way I know of to get strength to attack rolls.
Unfortunately, have fun without a belt of physical perfection mister martial character.
eh, +4 str isnt anythign to sneeze at, and the others can be gotten via ioun stones (onyx rhomboid for con stacks up to +6, but you'll have to make due with a deep red sphere for +2 dex).
that said, def. gonna get this on my dwarf character idea: large-sized throwing enchanted (among other things) dwarven waraxe, with the greater belt of mighty hurling tacked on it gets hilarious.

Lucky for me, this is a PFS character, so a belt of physical perfection wasn't something I was even thinking about getting :}

Outside of PFS where you can't have a DM, simply further enchant it.

The belt is a bit expensive though.
Eh, it's only a 10k GP difference from a normal belt of giant strength +2. The Strength to attack and increased range increment seems worth it, especially for a Monk I'm currently running, who only has a 14 dex, 20 Strength and loves using shuriken.
