OK, guys!
We're seeing some people having errors opening the files. One common issue is the RA HeroLab files not finding the information needed to open them.
You MUST have the Bestiary 1,2,3 loaded, as well as Ultimate Magic, Ultimate Combat, and the Advanced Player's Guide for the RA files to work.
Rappan Athuk makes liberal use of the Pathfinder System. We tried not to make a generic, cookie cutter dungeon, so we drew from all the sources that we could (that were not "other setting specific") to giv eyou the best adventure possible.
However, that means for the digital files to work, you have to have all those books loaded into your version of HeroLab. Our files are looking for their files. I know that is not optimal, but we cannot recreate Paizo's info for our own use separately, so we rely (willingly!) on the end-user having those files.
Im sorry if this ends up costing you a few dollars, but the investment in Paizo's products is WELL worth it.
Im leaving this thread as a place for questions/concerns, so we don't have to filter through the massive Rappan Athuk thread to answer your questions. Please feel free to post here any concerns about your RA HeroLab install, and we'll get back to you asap. Thanks!

That answers my question, I think. Have everything but UM/UC. I'll see if that takes care of it.
Thanks!

After purchasing Bestiary 3 (already owned 1+2), Ultimate Magic, Ultimate Combat and Advanced Player's Guide it also worked for me. Not really happy about the fact that it cost me roughly 50 USD....
Peter-
Please dont take this the wrong way, but you are not required to use our RA Herolab files. I do understand not wanting to pay for the content if you're not going to use it, but as has been stated elsewhere, to duplicate the creatures in RA, which use lots of content from Pathfinder books, we had to use the datasets in HeroLab. We cant duplicate that info on our own, as that cuts out Paizo, which we're NOT going to do, for any reason.
I hope you are able to use the new books to enhance your game, (I personally have used a bunch of material I never thought I would), and can get a little more mileage out of the expense.
I hope you enjoy!

Thanks for getting this thread posted.
Sucks for me though, I don't own any other files for HL. I can't afford it :( I totally understand how you're having to do this, I just wish that would have been explained a bit more in the Kickstarter listings. I probably wouldn't have spent the extra to get HL files knowing that I couldn't use them.

again, our apologies for any confusion; we didn't understand how much was involved with the highly customized NPCs in RA. The guys at Lone Wolf and D20 Pro have both gone above and beyond in helping us out with the project, and without their help, it wouldn't be happening.
In reality, we would not have offered this if we would have known...
But, we're dedicated to helping build the digital side of the industry, so once this is over, we'll look back at it and be very happy we did it, its just a matter of getting there :-)

I've been onboard with hero lab since its first incarnation. Initially with a D20 license then purchasing the Pathfinder license along with each successive official dataset.
I have to say the options that are available are staggering and well worth the investment. Coupled with the PFSRD web site its a pleasure to be able to reference every option whilst using a character creation software officially supported by a publisher.
The decision to use all the official hero lab datafiles for the RA conversion is a wise one which I applaud.
And to be honest as stated in the prior post nobody has to use the files, they are only provided for convenience. If you don't own hero lab, the module can still be run old school pen and paper method.
Kudos

So I keep getting the Duplicate File errors:
File: FrogGodGames_Sources.1st (line 4) - Source - Duplicate record encountered ('pFrogGod')
File: FrogGodGames_Sources.1st (line 12) - Source - Duplicate record encountered ('pFGGMonst')
File: FrogGodGames_Sources.1st (line 21) - Source - Duplicate record encountered ('pFGGModul')
File: FrogGodGames_Sources.1st (line 30) - Source - Duplicate record encountered ('bRappAthu')
File: FrogGodGames_Sources.1st (line 37) - Source - Duplicate record encountered ('bTomeHorr').
On the Lone Wolf site, it was noted: The source ID's that were sent to LW were incorporated into HL itself, and so adding the source file from the RA download is giving you those duplicate thing errors. Removing the source file from RA will let you load HL properly.
I'm not actually proficient with programming/editing computer files. How about a crash course on where to find the source file and how to remove it safely(or a point where to find this info)?

Volunteer Data File ContributorHere is my two cents on how to do this really easy.
1) Start HL
2) Start Pathfinder
3) go to "Tools->Start Editor".
4) go to "File->Open Data File...".
4) Open file "FGG_Rappan_Athuk.user"
5) Click on "General->Skill" tab.
6) Find "Craft Poison" and click on it on the left side.
7) Press blue button "Delete" at bottom left of screen (say "yes" to really delete).
8) Press blue button "Save"
9) go to "File->Save Data File"
10) Close Editor.
11) Close Hero Lab
12) restart HL and Pathfinder.
13) Enjoy!

The data files could not be loaded due to errors. Hero Lab will now attempt to load them in recovery mode. Once loaded, you can access the editor as normal to correct any errors.
The following errors occurred:
File: PFRPG_Adjustments_frumple.user (line 914) - Thing 'sCBFlyPoor' (dynamic tag) - Group 'AdjManeuv' not defined
File: PFRPG_Adjustments_frumple.user (line 919) - Thing 'sCBFlyGood' (dynamic tag) - Group 'AdjManeuv' not defined
File: PFRPG_Adjustments_frumple.user (line 925) - Thing 'sCBFlyAver' (dynamic tag) - Group 'AdjManeuv' not defined
File: PFRPG_Adjustments_frumple.user (line 929) - Thing 'sCBFlyPerf' (dynamic tag) - Group 'AdjManeuv' not defined
File: PFRPG_Adjustments_frumple.user (line 935) - Thing 'sCBFlyClum' (dynamic tag) - Group 'AdjManeuv' not defined
I just did these same steps and it all worked fine. It would appear somehow the file "PFRPG_Adjustments_frumple.1st" is gone. My only thought would be is that did NOT have the "Community Bestiary" installed? As the above only fixes the "Community Bestiary" package not "all" community packages. So go to "Tools->Manage Third Party Updates" please remove the "Community Bestiary Hot Fix" if you never had the CB installed.
FAQs for Community Pathfinder Pack:
1) How do I remove a Community Pack or see which Addons I have installed?
A: (Windows/Mac) Go to Tools->Manage Third Party Updates this will show all the Packs you have installed and the version. To remove highlight Pack name and press "Delete".A: (iPad) Start the app and Pathfinder game system. At the bottom of the app is the "Updates" button press it. In the bottom left side is a box (Installed Updates) that contain all the Packages (official and community) you have installed. To remove "LEFT SWIPE" on the Pack name until you see the "DELETE" button appear. Press the red "DELETE" to remove the Pack.

Any Ideas
Not sure what "fix" you are referring too actually. But the above looks like you installed the Community Bestiary and Community Player Pack which can not be loaded together. So uninstall both CB and CPP and reload just the ONE you need.
