Hi All,
I'm building my first alchemist character to take on the Shackled City adventure path. The alchemist's an elf, and given the traditional association of elves with archery, thought it'd be great if the PC could somehow attach her bombs to arrows and shoot them across the battlefield. Is there a discovery or feat that allows me to do this?
The character is 1st level.
Thanks

Prerequisite: Alchemist 4
Benefit: As a standard action, the alchemist can infuse a single arrow, crossbow bolt, or one-handed firearm bullet with the power of his bomb, load the ammunition, and shoot the ranged weapon. He must be proficient with the weapon in order to accomplish this. When the infused ammunition hits its target, it deals damage normally and detonates as if the alchemist had thrown the bomb at the target. If the explosive missile misses, it does not detonate.
So you can load up and shoot 1 bomb-laden arrow a turn. This is actually a bit worse than is sounds as you can not us it in conjunction with fast bombs, cannot attack multiple times because of high bab, does not stack with vital strike, cannot be used with manyshot (and some other useful archer feats), do not target touch ac, and cannot 'store' a bomb on it for later use. You gain farther range and arrow damage added on but at the cost of versatility, attacking touch, and inability to do multiple attacks.

Cool!
I was thinking of making an elf alchemist archer as a back-up PC for a PbP.
It seems like a fun synergy: bombs with arrow backups, the occastional explosive missile, and the feats would work together.
Focused Shot seems like it would be fun with this build too. Add Int to arrows as well as bombs!
