Scarab Sages

Meatballs, pasta, mushroom sauce, cauliflower.

Last night was a package of steamed mussels in garlic sauce and the remaining two-thirds of a Panera bread bowl.

Lunch today is looking like either frozen Philly Steak Sandwich or frozen Chicken Sandwich.

I'd love to have a Frozen sandwich for lunch....

I get to choose the participants, mind.

Banana.

Beanless chili and a small piece of chocolate.

And at what point would you 'let it go' ?

Super disgusting leftover bachelor chow, namely:

1) Dodgy kabanos
2) Sliced "roast chicken"
3) Elderly goat's cheese
4) On its way out naan bread.

Grilled and drizzled with sensuous, tantalising spicy Polish ketchup. Still, I'm not dead yet, so it must have been alright after all.

Conquering world! One bit(e) at a time!

Was that Pudliszki, Roleski, or Kotlin ketchup?

According to the bottle, it is Wloclawek Ketchup Ognisty.

Włocławek Ketchup Ognisty (Fiery). One of my friends swears that Ketchup from Włocławek is the best ketchup there is. I haven't tried it myself.

Keilbasa was on sale for less than ham this week.

So fried kielbasa, mixed veggies (peas, corn, green beans, carrots, limas), onions, garlic and macaroni and cheese mixed together with black pepper, and smoked paprika.

Subway Meatball sub with lots of olives.

Finally got to go to an In-N-Out Burger yesterday.
I don't care what houstonderek says.
Donny was right.

HD doesn't like In-n-Out? O.o

Leftover potatoes au gratin.
Not even warmed up, because I'm lazy.

HD has avowed a deep and abiding hatred of anything California.

I disagree, using two words: Judy Henske.

I don't know who that is, but from my eight years in being in Arizona I have learned that there are almost no burgers better than In-N-Out.

Spoiler:
"Magic Judy" Henske, Legendary Queen of the Beatniks, was a folk singer in the San Diego area in the late '50s/early '60s. She had a resurgence of popularity in the late '90s, thanks to novelist Andrew Vachss and an awesome comeback album, Loose in the World.

Ah, that'd explain it, not my genre =)

Liberty's Edge

Five Guys.

Is cannibalism acceptable on paizo.com ?! :P

Five Guys is a burger chain in the US, redominately in the North East and Mid-Atlantic, although they have something like 30 resturants in the UK.

They're much better than In-N-Out.

And to answer the inevitable question - yes, I've had Five Guys, they have them in Chattanooga. Still prefer In-N-Out immensely.

It's OK.

I understand you can live a full and productive life without functional tastebuds.

;)

If by "better" you mean "more expensive," then yes. Otherwise I, too, disagree.

Lunch was grilled cheese with leftover bacon inside, plus a scrambled egg.

And now I really want to make spice-filled sandworm bread. And maybe a small batch of cinnamon whiskey jelly to spread on it (bake inside maybe?).

Bought two pork chops yesterday, both of which got marinaded in Henderson's Relish; fried one yesterday, baked the other in the oven today, wrapped in tinfoil along with a quantity of Stilton (the pork chop, not me)

Tasty, but not very healthy. Consumed with rye bread on the side.

Raided 'fridge and pantry for snacks: Pretzel nuggets, cheddar cheese, dill pickles, and side of kimchee.

Delicious dim sum from the Thai/Chinese food place.

Liberty's Edge

Chicken and Waffles.

Which around here means the Dutchie kind.

A rich creamed chicken stew loaded with veggies served over crisp, fluffy waffles.

Plus a whoopie pie and some coffee.

Cheapo microwaved chicken & broccoli alfredo entrée and a small hunk of yesterday's fresh-baked bread

Subway meatball sub, courtesy gift card from Secret Santa at work.

Lunch was a pulled chicken sandwich which came with chips in a little bucket, so it was totally worth £5.

Dinner was cheese & pitta bread, put under the grille, a carrot and an apple.

Tomato, lettuce, and Muenster cheese sandwiches on fresh-baked Tuscan bread.

Leftover taco, 6 green olives

Liberty's Edge

It was Christmas Eve, so pierogi, sauteed cabbage with bacon, onion and caraway, and grilled trout.

Leftover hamburger, 2 deviled egg halves

Little time for me today, so I'll just have to take a quick trip to the closest Burger King.

I had some Spam.

Lovely Spam! Wonderful Spam!

Leftover turkey, wrapped in lefse with a little BBQ sauce from Arthur Bryants.

Corn mixed with kale and some codfish. Yum.

Cheese Pizza, but not that cardboard crap with a little bit of cheese drowned in sauce with a pittance of toppings they're so fond of in New York City, this was delicious, with depth and nuance of flavor.

Nope, never mind, it was Tombstone, so it was the former, but in my defense, we did take the tree down and knock out a 50 piece puzzle with a four year old, so not much time this morning to make a pizza from scratch.

Overpriced and overrated?

Yesterday's lunch: Leftover deli ham & swiss grilled cheese w/ small handful of potato chips

Today's lunch: Leftover garlic-stuffed pot roast & swiss grilled cheese w/ small handful of potato chips
