This.....this warms my heart. Really...it does. Five years ago, THIS is the sort of thing we were aiming for. Nice to see it's a reality.

Your know, I've been sort ignoring that PaizoCon is nearly upon us, with my head down in work, bills, and getting Wayfinder #7 done and printed.

It just hit me today that I'll be hanging with 400+ of my friends -- some old friends, some new, some I haven't even met yet -- as early as Wednesday.

So, YES. I'm excited!

I'm most excited to see the new venue. To imagine that the little cramped single room at the lovely La Quinta Inn has expanded so far is mighty humbling.

But wait - that was only five years ago? Goodness, so much has happened with the company since, it seems like longer. Amazing.

I mean, heck, at least half the people at the original Paizocon are now employees, right?!? :-) :-) Ok, it just seems like it I guess.

Very excited. Yesterday I printed new copies of all the PFS characters I expect to be playing (along with character art). I've given some (but probably too little) thought to a costume for the Grand Convocation; I'll probably end up wearing my favorite shorts and a t-shirt. Tomorrow, I'll probably print copies of the rest of my PFS characters (just in case) and finalize (or abandon) my costume ideas.

Wednesday, I'm on call at the hospital. Thursday, I check out to my partner and depart for Seattle. Excitement!

leaving for the airport in just over 24 hours. Need to take the dogs to the kennel (their kenneling costs more than my hotel room ... the joys of living with a pack), go to a meeting at work, print up my boarding passes (at work ... one of the reasons I said I would definitely be at the meeting), do laundry, pack, double check to make sure I have not forgotten anything, pack that stuff, check again, add that stuff too, etc. etc. etc.

I just need to be sure to get all the packing done today and then load up the car this afternoon/evening and do the final checklist run through. That way I can get up tomorrow, have breakfast, do any last minute crap that needs doing and get my butt to the airport without freaking out that I forgot something.

Let's see ... stat that new rogue, find a mini or two (should I take my whole box? It's small. Dry Erase markers ... wet erase, too? Dice. (should I forget those, "on purpose"?) My copy of Dungeon #124, Whispering Cairn from AoW, for Erik Mona to sign. Photocopy a few pages of rules, so I don't have to carry all the books. Upload my portfolio to my iPad so that I can show it to Sarah Robinson, and Erik & Lisa. ... there's ... just ... so ... much!!

I don't think that "excited" covers it.

So I just picked up my friend from SeaTac airport who flew in from Minneapolis. We are now on the Seattle Underground tour after visiting some local shops and markets at the Pike place market in Seattle.
The weather is nice and cool, beautiful day and we are excited as heck for PaizoCon!
We will be at meet and greet after drinking microbrews tonight and making tons of characters for PFRPG!
Hitting uP the international district for some dim sum here after the tour!

Wasn't excited before, but just got back from dropping kids off at grandparents and the excitement has kicked in. Each item I packed enhanced the excitement level. Then I log on to see a pick-up game of Star Frontiers Thursday night. Oh hell yeah I'm excited now!
