OK, I think I know the answer here, but wanted some clarification.
With Weapon Finesse, your Dex mod is used in place of Strength mod for attacks, it has no mention of using Dex mod for damage rather than the Strength mod. Soooo, does it only apply to attacks?
Secondly I could not find a feat that allowed you to use Dex mod for melee damage, does such a feat exist?

Yes, Weapon Finesse only swaps DEX for STR for your attack rolls (even applies to melee touch attacks for mages.)
The only methods off the top of my head that lets you swap DEX for STR on damage rolls are the following:
*Gunslingers and their level 5 ability
*the feat Dervish Dance (only applies to a scimitar, and you cannot hold anything else in your other hand.)
*The Agile weapon enhancement.

Correct.

Dervish Dance comes to mind (works only with a single-wielded Scimitar, though)

1) If you're referencing manuevers, if the weapon is used for the manuever (Trip, disarm, sunder), DEX can be used instead of strength for that manuever. If you're looking to use DEX instead of other STR checks (like Swim), then no.
2) There is an Agile weapon enchantment that allows a finessable weapon to use DEX for damage instead of Strength.
EDIT: Ninjas! Ninja's everywhere! *runs for his life*

ah yes didn't see it was from 2012 (only see it because other person has respond to it so it has been in the top) i'm sorry but at least if the OP comes back he can see that he if do not know already now and future person who want to know those thing can now
If the OP is still playing or planning the same character they were in 2012, I'm sure they will be glad to know.
