New PBP GM question

I'm a new To PBP and I'm GMing my first one so I'm a newb. My question is how do I add players and characters to a campaign and how do I start the gameplay thread?

I can't seem to get those figured out.

Adding characters is automatic as they post in the Gameplay thread. In the Campaign Tab you can edit them to active/inactive and PC/NPC.

Create a post in the Gameplay forums and it should give you the option to connect to a campaign.

I can't seem to activate the gameplay thread to Post in it.

You just create your gameplay thread. Make the title whatever you want it to be (for example, if a Way of the Wicked game, you could call it 'Faol's Way of the Wicked'), and put anything in the body. After you submit the thread, at the top it will give you the option of connecting it to a campaign.
