Sitting in the canoe.

Wrapped up in a sleeping blanket. It was ~45 degrees and raining. He was freezing, so I stopped early that day so he could cozy up.

I'll try again to put photos up. Duke is a rescue from the Homeless Pet Placement League in Houston. He is a Chow/Sharpei mix. He is a better doorbell than a doorbell.

I've had Sharpei's before, they are indeed excellent watch dogs. Just listening to him I could tell the difference between pedestrians, groups of pedestrians, cars, which way they were going, how far from the house they were, etc. They're extremely loyal, very protective and their bark sounds like they're 2-3 times bigger than they actually are, very loud and very deep.

If I had a kid, I'd get a sharpei to keep watch over them for me.
