Relgar decides to get into the interrogation as well. His fist still aflame with magical fire. The gnome looks somewhat hopeful that the prisoner refuses to answer promptly as he is anxious to see how a Grippli might burn.
"Where is this Viper Cove and when are you planned to meet up?"
In a moment of geek solidarity he says is a quieter voice to Mumbuckle.
"Your little bottles of flame are a lot of fun. I need to try them out some time."
@GM Jhaeman - Relgar is not trying to be intimidating. He is simply a hopeful pyromaniac and a faithful follower of Ymeri. :)

Gregor - Mauler Familiar |

Gregor carefully licks his chops and smiles as his master turns his attention to Mumbuckle. A wicked grin of excitement reveal a multitude of sharp pointy teeth.

Mumbuckle croaks back sullenly: "Yes."
"Oh good! I thought we had the wrong thhip there for a moment." Igor says turning to the others.

![]() |

The truculent grippli warms a little to Relgar. "I make them myself! And for the other thing . . . there are sea charts in my quarters."
"Rendezvousing with this ship?"

![]() |

Arioch ponders for a moment, "I'm assuming none of us know how to run a ship. Sail a ship? Whatever a ship. And we can't trust the original crew to do the job."
Looking at Mumbuckle he adds, "No offense."
Arioch walks over to where the PCs climbed aboard to see if the dwarf who brought them over is still down there.

![]() |

Relgar pouch for bribes is now empty he looks around for someone else to foot the bill this time.
"I paid the last two times. This time someone else will have to pony up!"

![]() |

"I got you, fire beard!" says Davor, smiling and fishing the coins out of his belt pouch.

![]() |

Relgar's eyes light up at his new moniker. In fact he feels a bit ashamed that he did not think of it himself.
"Fire beard? I like that!"

GM Jhaeman |

Smulwarts secures her rowboat and clambers aboard the Lionfish. She takes in the bloody scene without expression. "Ok, where to?"
Smulwarts will need either sea charts or directions. If there's anything else you want to do before setting sail, now's the time. We'll pick back up again in about 24 hours.

Greyhawk Pathfinder Search the ship for anything of value and locate the sea charts Mumbuckle mentioned. If we find any other pirates who need beating let us know! Oh and Arioch is going to search for traps along the way; taking 10 for an 18 and hopefully someone else can aid him to get to a 20. Assuming we find the sea charts we'll check if Smulwarts can read them and find where to go. If not it will be another round of interrogations.

GM Jhaeman |

Arioch searches the ship.

Arioch searches the ship.
** spoiler omitted **
Arioch gestures for the PCs to gather around out of earshot of the prisoners.
"Okay we have a problem. Holejia has already taken the Topaz Titan - the ship carrying Hirako Gurukaza. He's the Pathfinder that VC Heidmarch wanted us to find and make sure he reaches Riddleport safely. So we need to have a plan to surprise them so he doesn't get croaked. Also Mumblenuts over there and Holejia have been communicating via ravens so she may be wise to problems with the Lionfish. So maybe disguises? I doubt Mumblenuts will help fool his boss but it could be an option. Oh yeah and I found some stash:"
@Players: Go ahead and read the spoiler and see what Arioch found. The sea charts, and maybe sextant?, will help Smulwarts get the Lionfish to the meeting spot.

![]() |

Vindex shrugs. "I say we don't try to complicate things too much. Maybe disguise one or two of us to help run the boat, hide everyone else behind some barrels of rum or something. We get there, pull up to the Lionfish, the try to get the drop on them with a boarding action."

"So humans in disguise, half orcs and gnome in hiding. Or maybe have Firestarter flying above the Lionfish? That'll certainly surprise those jabronis."

Igor sets about rearranging his stitches so as to appear to be a totally different Igor--not that that makes him look any different to his companions.
Then he applies a makeshift bandana eye-patch.
He begins to practice saying "ARR."

![]() |

Scraps pours a bucket of wood lacquer over itself, and then sits below the ship's bowsprit at the front of the prow like a hideous wooden figurehead.

![]() |

Vindex goes and finds one of the pirates killed in the earlier fight and takes their clothes for his disguise.
Disguise: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (6) - 2 = 4
He tries to move the holes around a bit and cover up the bloodstains without much success.

![]() |

Since we're Grayhawking Mumblenuts, what do he and the other survivors have on them? Oh and they're going to be subdued into oblivion and left below tied up.

![]() |

Relgar shakes his head.
"A blind man can see through your disguise Vindex. Find a barrel to hide in or go below deck."

GM Jhaeman |

Talk of disguises and treasure make the time fly by quickly, and soon the Lionfish and its new passengers are in sight of their destination!
The only landing point on the rocky islet called Viper Cove seems to be through a cavern entrance that leads to a shallow cove concealed within the island itself.
The walls of the cavern are lined intermittently with torch-adorned sconces, and another ship is already moored on the northeastern side of the embankment--Topaz Titan is emblazoned across its hull in orange letters that shine brilliantly even in the limited light
Several hastily-sealed cans of paint, a wood rasp, and sandpaper are barely visible on the ship’s deck, and no sentries are visible.
On the eastern side of the large cavern, two exits lead further into the cave complex.
Map is up on Slide # 2.

Igor notifies his master as draw near the island. "Mathter. Mathter. We have arrived at our final dethtinathion."
Igor has a look at Mumbuckle's journal.
I'm gonna assume bless has expired. Since everyone else seems to be at max hp he will avail himself of the potion of cure light wounds.

"Ugh. Yuck. It wath pumpkin thpīthed."

@GM Jhaeman - How long did it take for us to sail over here? I am tracking buffs.
Relgar stays seated on Gregor ready for some action.
"Well, it looks like more of a cleanup operation than one where disguises are actually needed."
"And that is a good thing."

![]() |

"Anyone wanna join me in inspecting the Titan Topaz? just to make sure y'know, that no one is hiding there and waiting to shank us as we disembark the Lionfish..."

"We'll all go so we don't get split up and ambushed."

Pathfinderizing the boat, if applicable... if void of treasures, sadly grabs a potato from the galley and peels it on his way out...

"I am not much for combat but an extra set of eyes is always useful." Zanjkil said as he joined Davor.
"Did you need thome? I might have thome to thpare."
He begins patting his pockets.

Relgar casts a spell protecting his familiar-mount.
Mage Armor is cast.
"So are we ready to go and break some heads?"
The gnome then casts Prestidigitation to quickly clean his equipment from any water or dirt that he might encounter in the cave. He also casts the Light spell on a silver coin which he keeps in a handy buttoned pocket.

Gregor - Mauler Familiar |

Gregor smiles a wide toothy grin at the prospect of the battle ahead.

Relgar shrugs.
"I don't really see the point of that. They are in there and we need to clean them out. Better for all of us to go in all at once."

![]() |

"Fire Beard is right! Let's go and tag them!" says Davor taking point and heading upstairs.

GM Jhaeman |

Davor takes the lead up the stairs, but soon finds progress blocked by a iron gate! Behind the gate, a chamber resembles a pit more than anything else, and bones of various kinds of animals--including humanoids--litter the floor near the cages. Several sconces with burning torches adorn the walls, and two empty cages stand at the eastern side of the room.
Three rabid-looking dogs are here and they immediately growl and jump to attack!

"Whoa! back up guys... these huskies are probably just hungry. Back up!"

![]() |

"And they barked letting everyone else know we're here. Amateurs... If they're hungry, throw some rations in there and then stab or shoot them while they eat."

![]() |

"Screw that. I'll drop some grub but I ain't stabbing these furballs..." answers Davor, dropping two days' worth of food and turning back to go downstairs.
