Huge Contradiction in the Poison Rules?

Unlike other afflictions, multiple doses of the same poison stack. Poisons delivered by injury and contact cannot inflict more than one dose of poison at a time, but inhaled and ingested poisons can inflict multiple doses at once. Each additional dose extends the total duration of the poison (as noted under frequency) by half its total duration. In addition, each dose of poison increases the DC to resist the poison by +2. This increase is cumulative. Multiple doses do not alter the cure conditions of the poison, and meeting these conditions ends the affliction for all the doses. For example, a character is bit three times in the same round by a trio of Medium monstrous spiders, injecting him with three doses of Medium spider venom. The unfortunate character must make a DC 18 Fortitude save for the next 8 rounds. Fortunately, just one successful save cures the character of all three doses of the poison.

So contact and injury poisons don't stack, but Medium spider venom (an injury poison, obviously) does stack?

Does injury poison stack, or not?

I don't see that it's contradictory. All this says is that you can't deliver two doses of poison with the same wound. You can get bit with three different spiders and get three different doses, but a spider with only one bite attack per round is only going to be able to deliver one dose of poison at best.

Does that make sense?

This.

Stacking multiple doses and simultaneously delivering multiple doses are not the same thing.

Hm. That's what it means?

How could you ever simultaneously deliver multiple doses of an inhaled poison..? Can you release multiple doses into the same space at once?

Apparently. I mean, fog can have varying densities, so why not? Just a more concentrated death cloud of doom.

Short answer, yes.

You could have multiple clouds of inhaled poison from different containers overlap. You could also have some combination of wind or movement to expose the PC to multiple sources in one round.

I agree that the wording used in the explination looks contradictory when read separately.

I couldn't help but imagine a pitchfork, with a dose of poison of each tine. Is this one attack or three?
