Do Hexcrafter & Witch levels stack for hex effectiveness?

Do you stack hexcrafter (magus) levels and witch levels for the purpose of hex effectiveness? I can't find it anywhere, but I think it *should* be allowable. I can't see any way this could potentially break anything, or is there something I am missing?

I don't believe so. (Basing my assumption on a strict RAW reading which says nothing about them stacking and on the ruling of channel which states that the same ability from multiple sources doesn't stack.)

They don't stack.

As an example evasion does not upgrade to improved evasion if two different classed have it, but uncanny dodge does.

No, but I'd let it.

Channeling does not, caster levels do not - I dont see how hex levels would.

PF is quite restrictive when it comes to multiclassing.

I'd allow it, they should stack. Might not let them start stacking till you had 4 levels into Hexcrafter and actually started getting hexes from it, though.

I'd let channeling work too, and caster levels if they made sense. For most base classes, they don't, but I think a rakshasa PC taking levels in sorcerer should stack the rakshasa's CL 7 with those levels for spells known/spells per day (and maybe bloodline, if it's rakshasa).

This is actually official. But only for monsters that explicitly get a CL as a particular class and only when taking levels in that class. So, yeah.

Little bit of thread necromancy, but...

If they don't stack... then what level of effectiveness do you use? Since the character can have hexes from multiple sources do you:

a) use the class for which the hex was gained as its own personal scaling determinator
b) use the higher of the two levels (e.g. 3 witch/10 hexcrafter would mean hexes cast as if you were a 10th level witch)

B seems more believable, especially considering the Extra Hex feat which gives the character the hex, not any particular class. (Honestly, this feels like a stronger argument that hexcrafter and witch levels should stack completely.)
