I am thinking of adapting the boardgame Greyhawk Wars (1991 vintage, yes a long time ago) to a Pathfinder centric world, maybe Golarion.
Each player will represent a leader of an entire country with the resources to recruit, search for magic items, use diplomacy, and wage war on neighbors. Turns will represent a year in game time and be resolved within a week with simultaneous movement. The rules are not that complicated.
I am thinking of tweaking leaders to have specific powers according to every Pathfinder class.
There will be minimum of six and a maximum of ten countries. I may allow extra players to team up and help administer countries, as missing a turn will be painful.
This is an initial call for interest. Will be more fun if I can 'Tom Sawyer' someone else to run it and play :-)

Well, I put a 35x70 rectangular grid over the Golarian map so area movement will be easy. I am using fantasy units (elves, trolls, etc.) with simple combat mechanics and abilities with a simple 1d10 combat system. Now I need a comprehensive list of the nations of Golarian and their military capabilities and their rough alignments-- may have to make them up.
Probably will be a good versus evil theme or everyone for themselves, haven't decided. Maybe I'll have players create a country and a leader alias to run that country. For example: Mwangi Expanse with big monkeyman leader with a big gun.

You could base the game the same place kingmaker is done, as all player fight to control their kingdom and expand. There are already NPC kingdoms to war with and players kingdom to deal with as they all attempt to control a region.
This gives a lot of chances to make a unit kingdom or maybe some of the other kingdoms has decided to expand, so you could use any kingdom that already exists and the player as the future ruler to be of the region.
I would participate with the Linnorm Kings ^^ already hard enough battle with the Hag next to me and rest of the world has more interesting things than dealing with linnorms and then the hag.

Cheliax is a nice place would have been my first choice, with all the infernalist summoning and hellknights.
As a linnorm king I already have to unify the other kings under 1 banner and then fight the hag and then look south and see who is next.
So I will be very busy to fight Cheliax lol as Cheliax has something more interesting to do, like Andoran amongst others.

So...dibs on Hermea.
I don't think there's been much in-depth coverage of any country's military might. It's known that Cheliax is a military force to be reckoned with, and though their influence is waning, they still have substantial infantry/cavalry forces (the Hellknights, diabolic summoners) and naval forces (at least alluded to in the Pirates of the Inner Seas book). Most of the other countries don't really seem to have enough resources to fight Cheliax; many of them are former Chelaxian colonies or rebel states. The domination Cheliax has militarily is analogous to the waning British Empire in the 18th and 19th centuries. Very powerful, but losing their grip due to the overwhelming amount of administration required to run such a massive empire.

Molthune sounds like lots of fun ^^ also.
Well most countries just give you hints or insight of their military, like Molthune has the best naval in Lake Encarthan, special war dog units and they also have monster soldiers (hobgoblins, centaurs, lycanthropes and other creatures.
Linnorm Kingdoms
You know the typical things you expect of barbarian (viking-ish) type of kingdom. Their troops would be raiders (Horse & Sea), stronger than usual basic warriors and great hunters.

We are nearing the end of our year long Kingmaker campaign and although the rules for mass combat were plenty fun, my friends and I who are all fans of boardgames like Samurai Swords, Greyhawk Wars, and Battlelore got to talking and we all agreed if there was some way to implement these "War Games" in a Golarion based Kingmaker style campaign, it would be something special. Unfortunately with real life comes responsibilities and that was the reason we played APs, because none of us have the time to really create so we utilize Paizo's wonderful material. That being said, I'm definately interested. I could play Andoran or Lastwall both are shining forces of good. On a side note, I know there are some programs floating around on the net where you can play a digital version of Greyhawk Wars. I believe my friend stumbled across it on a site devoted to playing Axis & Allies, AAA I believe it was called.

Well then, here is the deal.
If this game goes it will borrow from: Greyhawk Wars, Axis and Allies, Empires in Arms, Samurai Swords, House Divide/Soldier King and some I MAY use a magic system like Master of Magic/Age of Wonders. There will be an experience system for units and leaders.
This game will begin using the Inner Seas Map I found on the wiki. Your country must reside on this map. link to Inner Seas Map
Anyone interested, begin a Inner Sea Golarian Country Profile with the following:
Name of Country
Alignment of Country
Leader of Country (Name and Pathfinder Class)
Up to three exotic units (above light and heavy infantry) you want to recruit. They should be consistent with the Golarian information.
I will give an example:
Geb
Lawful Evil
Nex the Necromancer (Specialist Wizard)
Skeletons
Vampires
Ghouls
No aliases needed yet--but will be required if selected.

Make it up your ruler if the pathfinder wiki doesn't specify in detail. Obviously Geb can't change from Nex.
By the way, there are 4 linnorm kings, so you can't be all 4.
Exotic units are anything that isn't light or heavy infantry. If you want mounted units, you need to include them. The more exotic, the harder to recruit and more expensive they will cost.

Basically it's anything that isn't infantry like: Archers, Cavalry, Transports (Longboats or chariots) are all exotic then.
Medium armor soldiers count as heavy infantry or light?
Nice to know if I'm a linnorm king I have to duke it out internally first.
As an example of Exotic troops as a Linnorm King would be something like:
Exotic
Lycanthropes
Cairn Guards
Cavalry

So this is probably not going to fly in the least, but i figure why not try.
Name of Country: The Worldwound
Alignment of Country: Chaotic Evil
Leader of the Country: Numerous powerful demons, most notably Khorramzadeh, the balor ruler of Iz; Zuhra Aponavicius, marilith conquerer of the crusader city of Drezen; and the demonic Archmage Vahedifar Ayeshalmoutey.
Exotic Units: Demons, seriously just a ridiculous amount of demons. But more seriously:
Succubus, Incubus, and Shadow Demon Infiltrator groups
Vrock Air Cavalry
Demonic Horde (that's the name of the unit)
If this doesn't work though, then I totally call dibs on the Holds of Belkzen....DIBS!! :)

I am going to build unit templates and give them four basic stats: attack/movement/defense/cost. Strong units will take two hits before being destroyed. All countries have these units.
Unit ATT/DEF/MOV/COST
Light infantry 1/2/2/3
Med infantry 2/3/1/4
Garrison 0/2/0/2
A lich may be 3/5/3/12 and take two hits to destroy. Units will be paid for in the production phase and will cost half their build cost in upkeep each production phase (except for garrison units which cost 1/4 their production cost in upkeep).
A berzerker unit available to barbarians may be 4/2/2/6.
So every production phase you pay your upkeep costs and recruit more units with money left over. You will use your income also to hire mercenaries, bribe neutral countries, hire the mantis assassins or hire leaders that become available. Mercenary companies, assassins, and capable leaders will be availaible during a secret auction.
Every country will start with two leaders. A level 1 leader and a level 0 leader. They will accumulate experience as they fight.

Heh if someone is going to take the Worldwound, then one logical choice would be...
Name of Country: Mendev
Alignment of Country: Lawful Good
Leader of the Country : Queen Galfrey, Sword of Iomedae (Paladin/Sword of Valor)
Exotic Units: Not entirely sure what to use here. Maybe something like:
Paladins (Oath against Fiends)/Inheritor's Crusaders
Low Templar Cavalry (Cavaliers?)
...Gold Dragon? >.>

So we are all level 20 or something like that, and have 2 leaders: level 1 and 0?
So my army should look like:
Berzerkers (Special Infantry) 4/2/2/6
Raiders (Med Infantry) 2/3/1/4
Wardens (Light Infantry 1/2/2/3
Garrison 0/2/0/2
How do class specific abilities come into play, like a Bards Inspire presence, rage, etc?

Not entirely sure what units I get and what units are 'exotic' but here is a go:
Name of Country: Numeria
Alignment of Country: CN
Leader of the Country: Kelki-Kon or Kevoth-Kul(Barbarian)
Exotic Units:
Barbarian Natives(barbarians)
Technic League(Alchemists/Wizards)
Traveler to the Worldwound(paladins)
