I want him to get back to the goblins. This current long side story with the adventurers in the weird dungeon with the parallel versions of themselves isn't anywhere near as interesting. I liked the original concept and the goblin characters, but it's been a long time since we've seen them.
There seem to be 3 major storylines, some of which have intersected along the way, as far as I can tell:
1) the goblins;
2) the adventurers;
3) the freed slaves who became adventurers (including that awesome Lizard Man).
I think at any given point the storyline for 1 of these groups can be more or less interesting than other points, but I don't necessarily have a "favorite" storyline. I think he can do great stuff w/ each of the 3 storylines.

I try to like it but it's hard. The art really, really grates on me. He's become very stagnant in his art and needs to break out of his rut. He has technical proficiency in some areas but has severe, glaring flaws such as extremely poor lineweight, frightful composition and levels of detail.
I can't disagree more vehemently. The brilliant stories, the humor, the twists, and (to this reader) the artist's excellent ability have floored me more times than any other webcomic to date.
(I blatantly stole the Axe of Prissan for a home campaign, and once the PC paladin claimed the legendary weapon, only then did I introduce my players to that awesome site.)

I agree with your disagreement! And to Umbral Reaver: I think he has to finish off this dungeon storyline to sync it up with the main goblins storyline. At which point they'll be the same storyline, at least for a while.

I've had it recommended to me on account of it making a point of bucking the Always Chaotic Evil trope. Just can't seem to get into it because of the art. And I'm pretty open minded about different art styles. (hell, Bill Sienkiewicz is one of my top five favorite comic artists)
It's not so much the character design as it is the panel composition. Especially when three-dimensional space is supposed to be illustrated. It was too often too confusing to tell what was going on. That plus the bendiness of the characters gets rather narmy too... Everyone has this rubbery look to them.
Am going to give it another shot soon.
To be fair, the artist can draw a foot.

I love this series. I for one enjoy the art style. The storylines are superb, and the characterizations are great. I really enjoy his portrayals of what good and noble characters would do. I think it shows what some might consider " Lawful Stupid" behaviour, but shows the thought, feeling, and passion behind it. I agree that some of the story archs can be overly long and I wish he would spend more time on the original goblin party as well.
My only complaint would be the update schedule. He pretty much always updates a day later than his release schedule says he will, and he will occasionally skips an update entirely without so much as a word on his news feed. The drama of his personal life that gets included so often on the news feed is something I could live without as well.
However, due to the quality of the series as a whole, the gripes are ones I can live with.
I think it would be interesting to do a PbP based on this series.

OK So I am just biting nails at the battle going on between Kore and Forgath. So worried that Forgath is gonna die and hoping that he doesn't....it is odd for me to so invested in any comic and yet lately this comic is just getting in me. The storyline between Kin and Minmax, the Goblins themselves and now the epic battle of Kore vs Forgath...I am desperate to know the outcome and wait with a sense of dread and wonder.

I stopped reading it about a year ago. It was ok up to that point. His art just grates on me, especially the goblins - I hate that design. He could write decent stories when he tried and the humor was amusing for the most part, but he spends far too many panels on combat scenes which are boring and often a bit cluttered. I liked Tempts Fate but that went a long while with no update.
