Abbas of Cheliax

Abbas has no language skills. But I doubt he would add much to the party deliberations anyway. His common speech is probably way above what he should be using but I am not keen on playing a total fool.
It is liberating to put my PC is the hands (or voices) of others.
Cheers

Worry not, Abbas. I work on the principal at the low end of Int it = IQ/10. In my line of work I often have to do with borderline learning disabilities (IQ 65-70) and there's nothing inarticulate about them. Their understanding of complex stuff (sometimes not so complex) is often wrong, but it's not a variation of "Huh?" Abbas is a riot - you rock!

Pretty much sums up my way of playing low Int. I have worked with adults with disabilities in the past too. For me they were hilarious and lots of fun generally.
Abbas is all about his goodness. The rest just flows from that. Glad you like him.
At present I am building a 6th level diviner for Kingmaker (my king fell under a mastodon - oops) and 24 Int could be a bit of a challenge too.
Cheers

We use a mechanic around the table that you get double your int score in seconds to take your turn, or you delay to after the next turn. The lower ints generally make mistakes, while the high ints can plan way in advance.

Trying to give advanced warning -- I'll be out of town and away from internet access starting Saturday the 13th, and ending Tuesday the 23rd.
Feel free to background/NPC me during that time to not hold anything up.
Also, let's try to avoid a death sentence. ;)

Bryndyn, you had mentioned business, I was just thinking it was more complicated than you had anticipated.
All, in my continued quest to find a map solution that works for us, I am now looking at d20 pro. Do any of you have any experience with this tool? If we went in that direction, a player liscense would be 10 USD a piece. Would the cost put you off from trying it? I am not going to suggest in until I have had a chance to play with it and am sure it will work, but I donot want to drop 30 USd for my full copy if there are feeling against this tool.
Please let me know yout thoughts.
Aidan, That is sadistic. I like it!

I'm open to it. Would be good to learn for my games too. I also suspect we're getting really close to the Paizo tool releasing although I don't know what the PbP capabilities of that will be.
Anyone want to pair up with the priest of Asmodeus ;-)

Not for 4 days -- but the logic still holds. ;)

All: Responses are being sent. Once I am through them all, I will make a note here and we will go back to the game thread.
FW: Your note has been bounced 2 times now. I am sending it to you, but it bounces and says the "nearly you spoof address is not valid" I have been cafeful in entering your info and am not sure where the problem is.
All: I have been talking to Curtis at d20 Pro and right off there are some things I like. Paizo style customer service tops the list. I am thinking this may be our solution but it is not ready for our use quite yet. i will let you know as things progress. One immediate limit seems to be that we will be consstrained in order. Player 3 HAS to go before player 4 etc. I just wanted you to have an update.

Indeed. Take the time you need.

Folks - I'm here in the Northeast. I'm fairly certain we will personally be ok, but there are reports the power might be knocked out by Hurricane Sandy tonight or tomorrow. Unsure what my ability to reach the internet will be for this week...

Good Luck Aidan and Harlynn. Our Power is still out....but all is well other than that. We stayed in a hotel last night and will probably do same if for another night if it continues. It's too cold to stay overnight in the house.
| Aidan Ayrvar |
My power is stable, the election is over, my truck is fixed, and I'm getting normal hours at work again.
I'll have Aidan leveled by tonight, and I'd like his name to be Greenspeaker. (If we're translating that in a matrix, it should probably be entered "plantspeaker" or "verdant talker")

Ugh I hate doing it but of you would like I could crunch the numbers later and make sure everyone gets a fair share. I would consider the wand of band aid a group item in te calculation and would have no impact on the numbers.
| Taedric Starfell |
No, I agree -- cure wands are *party* items, regardless of who carries them. (Unless that person stops healing the rest of us, in which case things change..)

Hello All,
You know about my RL drama. My hope is that it is settled in the beginning of the new year. It is taking way more energy than I expected and this game and you are not be treated as you deserve. To this end, Bryndyn has offered to step in and GM. I have happily accepted. He has a list of plot points and/or randomish encounters that are up coming but does not have enough that he will be unable to rejoin as a player once my dust settles. In the meantime Bryndyn will work as an NPC. Also, Larayn plans to stay at the Lizardfolk village to expand her knowledge of their natural healing techniques and and to share the glorious gospel of Sernerae.
Please be as good to him as you have been to me, and I look forward to returning to the game as soon as I am able.
Best,
Sigil

Thanks for the update, I know how these things can be. Every PBP is an exercise of patience, but I was beginning to wonder if this would keep going. I'm glad to see that it will. See you on the other side.
