What to call with planar binding?

Advice

Does anyone have a list with good things to summon with lesser planar binding?

Creatures from the elemental plane of bubble wrap!

Ok i didn't get the joke.

I prefer Elementals because they tend to be more indifferent. Alignment-representing outsiders tend to get cranky when you kidnap them from across the cosmos and bind them.

But of you're looking for back-for-your-buck, I like Hound Archons or Half-Celestial humanoids with 6 class levels.

Although that does make sense (summoning elementals out of fearing reprisal from the outer planes) it's still is a bad choice for fighting troops right? The earth elementals, which irrc are the best elementals for fighting, pale in the face of bearded devils and hound archons right?

Each elemental is great, given the right terrain.
But for funky abilities, yeah other outsiders are best.
I like half-fiends and half-celestials with class levels because it's like an insta-cohort. Other choices are lower-HD outsiders which can level up, like Azers. Get an Azer cleric and you have a healer. Or get a half-celestial wizard and trade spellbook research.

If you're confident of your ability to resist compulsions and have the proper protections (and maybe alignment), a Succubus can provide a +2 Profane bonus to a stat for you!

Just watch out for the strings that come attached with it. Such are the costs of true power.

Don't you need the name of such half celestial or half fiend?

For a Succubus i need planar binding, the lesser one can't summon one.

My bad! I saw the thread title and didn't read the OP carefully enough :P

It's ok i should have put a better title and i learned of a good thing to summon with planar binding for when i get that spell.

Sorry for hijacking your thread a bit but i play a summoner who will soon learn lesser planar binding. I was wondering, to have a chance of binding good aligned outsiders, is having magic circle against good a must or can i do without. The spells are kind of limited on a summoner and i already have magic circle against evil for summoning evil outsiders, and actual defense against monsters.

Silver Crusade

I think the best thing to summon and bind will vary with the situation.

Some divination might help narrow down the best choices.

Azata's hands down cool and more forgiving than most.
For raw destruction daemons but they get pissy easily.

Modron for fun
