Who's up for some goblins?

I recently run the We Be Goblins module with my IRL group, and with the new Goblins of Golarion companion, my urge for rolling a Goblin Gunslinger is rising.

So who wants to for a Goblin adventuring party? This thread is also for recruiting a willing DM.


I'd be interested in a pbp for goblins. I would prefer to be Mogmurch or Poog.

Actually I wasn't talking about playing the We be Goblins module, since I run it and it wouldn't be fair to replay an adventure. But I see nothing wrong if someone else wants to use the goblin alchemist or cleric for a new adventure, like a sequel to We be Goblins.


That would work for me, easier starting and I have a backstory already :D Or I could make a goblin witch...

Sounds like a blast, but being a PF noob and having never done pbp, probably not a good candidate. Love to watch, though!

I don't think that you need to be experienced for this. We would play low lever character in a pretty basic campaign. And you have to start learning sooner or later, so it might as well be here.


Goblins, you say?


I might be interested if something comes of it. As a player though, not a DM.

Hello all, i was talking with Pixel in another thread about the chance of GMing a game. I could do one but i don't know this module and i otherwise prefer more "serious" games. I could GM an AP or a homebrew campaign with a standard group of humans elves gnomes half-elves ecc ecc and anyway i don't know the goblin module.
Of course everything has to be decided yet, so waiting for more info.

I just got done skimming my new copy of the Goblins of Golarions, and the artwork of the pirate ship with goblins at the helm, both scared and delighted me. I'd be willing to run this with some caveats:

1. This would be a chaotic game, not necessarily an evil one. Expect light comedic evil, but no baby eating.
2. No maps. No grids. Don't ask. All combat is expected to be slightly madcap. Rules will be bent. There's no crying in Pathfinder Goblins.
3. I usually post once per weekday. I may need to slow or quicken this pace. I warned you.
4. Frickin' goblin piracy. Yep.
5. The game would start in the Shackles. Plan accordingly. You'll all be members of the dwindling in number Gullchoker tribe.
6. 15 point buy, 1st level. 2 traits, etc. Minimum starting gold. You're desperate little scavengers, remember?
7. Your character may die. If you die in comedic fashion, so much the better. You can make another character.
8. There is no number 8.

If you agree to the above, start making characters. And remember: stupid little freaks. Enjoy!


intrigued by James Martin's idea, If I could get in on this I'd probably make up a goblin gunslinger.

I Splurg, I not like normal gobbo, I not smash animals. I have big cat named Spots. Spots make good ratcatcher. I smart gobbo I speak 2 whole tongues. I big sailer, big magic. I best gobbo in all of Gullchoker, cept big chief... Growing up in streets and on boats make me tough. 10 str 10 con 16 dex 15 wis 12 int 8 cha Traits: Bounce Resilient CE like any good gobbo Skills: Swim,
Climb, Survival, Heal, Profession(Sailor)

I couldn't resist the sad gull avatar since it is the Gullchokers...well that and after 22 pages couldn't find a goblin I liked...

Let's go with 5 goblins to start. There's really no need to have a balanced party, so feel free to go crazy with classes/concepts. I'll also be gifting each PC with a free custom made goblin item when the game starts out.

Shriga was born into the Gullchoker tribe and earned her name well prior to being uncaged for her incessant attempts to mimic gull calls. On a good day, this performance actually brought food on the wing. On a bad day, it didn't make anyone's headaches any more bearable. She is more skilled than most goblins of the tribe when it comes to the art of salvaging Things That Float and assembling them into Still Larger Things That Float, at times even taking raftbuilding and ship-repair to a level that could even be considered craft. Her other hobbies appear to involve faceplanting in tidepools and licking semi-toxic marine life. When she fell off a raft one evening, the more ingrogulated locals deemed it a relief. Unfortunately, a few days later as the tribe was engaged in breaming a larger captured hull, she flopped out of the shallows with a wide-eyed glassy look, a face full of urchin spines, and an almost inarticulate announcement that she had Spoken To Lady Lastbreath. Subjected to several days of alternately breathing dried stonefish smoke and attempts by the existing priestess to drown her, Shriga finally was reluctantly admitted as an apprentice. That incident occurred over a year ago, and at the last Spring tide, the priestess booted her out again, having announced to all and sundry that she'd taught Shriga 'as much as she needed to know' while grudgingly admitting that Shriga was 'a priestess' but certainly not 'The Priestess' and that anything else was 'between her and the goddess'. Shriga has spent a fair amount of time engaged in her disconcerting pastime of lying face-down in tidepools since then, a habit made even more disturbing since now she seems to be able to do it for extensive periods of time. When not apparently drowning inland, she is often seen wandering about with various bits of salvaged flotsam, small buckets with captured toxic sea creatures, and either glaring or looking with hungry cunning in the direction of The Priestess's raft.

Yeah I messed him up in the post he really has a 12 con... it just looks off because goblins get a +4 to dex -2 str - 2 cha

This sounds like it's going to be a bit more for the experienced pathfinder. I'll sit on the sidelines, and get back to reading the core rules.

Could be wrong but I think there's still a slot open (Only GM knows for sure). Lots of people have expressed interest, but most have not submitted characters.

What Pixel said above is truth. Gotta get your feet wet somewhere. This is bound to be foolish and silly and nobody is going to take it seriously...They're goblins, they're expected to die stupidly and do ridiculous things. My chief worry is gonna be suppressing the serious problem-solver in my head.

So if you've GOT a character concept, spill it. Lots of people have said they're interested, but few have actually submitted characters. Having read either Goblins of Golarion or We Be Goblins should put you in good stead for character generation here. :)

And you know, if this does fill up, there's enough activity that it would not surprise me if a second GM falls out of the sky to scoop up the folks who don't end up in the first batch.

But really, get involved and get playing. It's the most fun way possible to learn.

I would be so very interested in playing if another slot opens up. I have a pretty hefty PbP load as is, but can easily manage at least once a day postings. I'll keep an eye on things, and let me know if you need a character and I'll put one up as quick as I can.

A goblin barbarian w/ a nasty axe a general fear and hatred of larger creatures legs and feet. Let's just say he's been stepped on in his youth a lot and now he is not going to take it anymore.
