I was thinking a Troglodyte Barbarian, 2 things I have never been able to play before but always wanted too. (No name yet though, but I will have one)
I think I have a decent back-story (well part of it, the bit he can remember) He was an ordinary man who enjoyed travelling around, he had no experience of fighting and always ran when there was trouble. But one day he awoke to find himself in a new body, a body he did not like. He went to a shrine of his god Iomedae to ask what had happened, but unlike every other time he had visited this time he got a reply. "You have done a great misdeed, something that was un-honourable and caused people to suffer, for that I have cursed you to this form so that you may learn what it is you must do"
To start with he sat there thinking about what he had done, but couldn't picture it. He had run from monsters, hidden and survived just like always. Nothing was different. Upon this conclusion he figured that this must be a cruel test. The idea that he was being tested on angered him, an anger he never had before was growing inside him and took over. The next thing he knew he woke up in a village, surrounded by destruction, dead bodies of humans (men, women and children) and their blood all over him.
He had slight flashes of what had happened, he had killed them all in his fit of anger, but how could he kill them, he wasn't able to fight, he was a weak man. Then he heard it, a man behind him. A man dressed in some robes, the man told him that he has been granted a new body and what he does with this body is up to him. With this the man disappeared.
He decided rather than hurt more people, he would learn how to control this power and spent years trying to control his anger, until he finally managed to control it. It took him many years and he still grew angry, but he could choose who to direct it at. He had no need for Gods, but decided he would journey to find the strongest people he could and to fight them. He would improve himself to the best of his ability, or he would die (which would put an end to this curse).

Auk is shaping up. Quick summary, half-Orc paladin of Saranrae. Seeks redemption and the chance to combat evil. Weilds a M.W. Bastard Sword named Vengryn (Justice), a gift from his adopted dwarven father.
Uses the bastard sword 1handed, and a shield in the off hand.
*runs in out of breath* sorry I'm late would have gotten here earlier but I was stuck behind shano for the first 5 minutes of driving home and he drives like a little old woman...

You DM like a little old woman.@Roidrage. How about this? My boys name is Felix, sweet and simple. He is cursed by hauntings. Voices in his head that tell him what to do. Because of his unhealthy connection to the planes, he is prone to getting messages from them. Your the first voice of good he has ever heard. Problem is, Felix likes the voices. They amuse him and he believes them to be logical and sound. He will try and convince you that the voices know best. What do you think?

Falco Tosscobble was very much a normal halfling until his 28th birthday. In honor of his coming of age, Falco's father gifted him with a pair of aged kukris. The next day, Falco was playing in the woods with his new swords. Fate had loftier plans it seems. As if from no where, a bear charged young Falco. It was all the poor halfling could do to simply fall down, kukris held out in front of him.
A while later Falco awoke covered in blood. From that day he was among the most competent halfling warriors, but strange things happen around Falco now. Objects move without his touch, and discarded items settle far away from the haunted hobbit.
Blessed and cursed, Falco abdicated his place in halfling society and went wandering. He curses the gods for playing their tricks on him and he fights to gain enough strength to one day find and kill the god that ruined his quite, peacefull life.
I'm going to get rid of my last name, so we both grew up as orphens together. I'm prepared to babysit you shanosuke hehe
