PDF Dungeon issues - scans or proper?

My question's pretty much what the subject says; are the Dungeon issues just scans, or are they proper quality pdfs? Also, any idea why there's a couple of issues missing?

The last 3 or so Dungeon issues don't have PDFs because WotC revoked Paizo's license to publish new PDFs of the magazines before Paizo had published those issues as PDFs.

I don't know if the earlier PDFs are scans or proper, but I expect most of them (if not all) to be proper.

Oh, I know why the last 12 issues (140 through 150) are missing, I'm curious why 83, 91, and 138 are missing.

I'm considering starting a new campaign using some of the same material I used to run 3.0 back when it was new, but since any gaming I do these days is Skype + MapTools, I'd like to get my hands on some good images & selectable text for the stuff I might try to run. I still have my actual physical issues to plan from, but for actual play that's not sufficient as a: I don't have a scanner, and b: I'm not interested in paying money for scans, only production quality pdf (well, really, I'd rather have high res images separate from the pdf but I doubt that that's very likely).

Many Dungeon issues have free web enhancements with all the images (including maps) from the issues available as stand-alone PDFs. They exist somewhere on this site.

These are great, for the issues they exist for. But they don't go back to the early 3.0 stuff, which is the ones I'm familiar with and wanted to try running again.
