Liberty's Edge

For all those folks once again stranded in the seas beyond PaizoCon, we bring you THE LIFERAFT!!

Through solidarity, we will eventually attain revenge upon those who get to go...

Er, I mean, we'll get over it... yeah, that's the ticket!

*Swims to raft and hauls self on boart, coughing and dripping. Settles glumly in the center and puts up a beach umbrella.*

I brought some shade. Darn. I swear we had tickets for that ship!

*shakes fist*

Liberty's Edge

There was gonna be a banquet and everything. :(

*Swims aboard and then summons a hero's feast* well we'll at least not starve. I just hope they release stuff on youtube so we won't feel completely left out. By the way I really love your avatar Treppa, really great pic of Kyra.

The Exchange

I should have taken that left turn in Albuquerque, I always miss the boat.

Liberty's Edge

*gets out a bicycle pump, patches, and plastic glue*

We may need these...

Dark Archive

i feel like i will be doomed to these rafts forever!

*sails up next to the raft* Fancy that, some company out punting in these parts.

Liberty's Edge

*punts a grapefruit into the sea of the left-behind*

Maybe I shouldn't have stuck the umbrella through the bottom of the boat.

Avatar? That's my pic. Doesn't everyone have their own pic for their avatar? Particularly the pmg.

All I'll say to that is that I sure hope we'll get a proper picture of a dragon-ship in either the Land of the Linnorm Kings book or the second part of Jade Regent. This one keeps making me want to wear a skirt and betray my (non-existent) wife with the effect of her killing our kids and running off to Athens in a firey chariot pulled by dragons...

Hmm... I wonder what was in that funny-tasting tea I had earlier.

Tea? That was my bath water!

Next year I shall sweep down upon them from the hills, leading a great horde!

*blink*

Appears in raft wearing small fez with Viking horns attached.

Lifts beer horn

To next year! In Seattle!

Guzzles it down

(tweaked for polish)
Well, I would invite you round to my place for a little civilised dinner-partying, but the staff are still clearing up after my last dinner party got a little over-enthusiastic and someone dropped the cheeseboard on the carpet. That wouldn't have been quite such a problem under normal circumstances, only the Orcan Death-cheese landed within range of a potted aspidistra, and as you can imagine (or perhaps, mercifully for you, can't imagine) things got a little hairy after that. There are still coffee grounds and remains of three guests on the ceiling, and three expeditions into the depths of the aspidistra have still failed to retrieve the gnome archbishop of Calistria who made the mistake of 'diving for cover' in exactly the opposite direction to that in which he ought to have gone.
Of course the real social embarrassment was that after the confusion and screaming had mostly ended, two of my nieces and a Hellknight lictor who had somehow sneaked in were discovered under the table discussing the political economics of the occidental tea industry... I mean if it had been the oriental tea industry, that would have been another matter altogether, but the occidental one... I had to be Quite Severe on the three of them.
Anyway, enjoy the scenery and bobbing waves.
<waves politely and departs>

Silver Crusade

*clambers onto the raft*

Ugh. I'm glad to be somewhere dry. Also, you will all be glad to know I brought ten gallons of seawater in a jug. You're welcome.

Mawk!

The Exchange

is it safe yet?

Liberty's Edge

It's never safe!

*plugs a leak in the raft*

Somebody start bailing this hippy blood out. It's starting to clot. That should scare the sharks off too, I think... maybe, sorta, kinda.

You could stitch me up, you know...

Yap! Yap!

Liberty's Edge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

No, you're done for.

*hits dang hippeh with a shovel and tosses him overboard*

Liberty's Edge

Punches a Great White shark on the nose then clambers aboard

Hey, glad you could make it down here to the south Pacific.

*clambers aboard*

First year out of three that I needed to be here. *sigh*

I still have my badges from 2009 and 2010. Anyone want to play with them?

On the bright side, on Sunday I'm dusting off an old campaign, converting the characters to Pathfinder, and running a one-shot adventure for my gamers that didn't get to go...just so when the other three get back I can tell them and hear them go "You played what? Without us?!"

Sovereign Court

<paddles up in an inner tube, towing three more inner tubes carrying loaded coolers>

Right there with you Shadowborn.

Beer anyone? Unfortunately not Ted's beer but at least it's not ... <pops open the cooler>

Ah crap ... it's freakin' Oylmpia! I'll kill that convenience store clerk if I ever get back to shore ...

For my brighter note, on Saturday I am running Spires of Xin Shalast for a group that has been going through the RotRL AP for almost the last 2 years. Only one original PC remains, for "The Meatgrinder" AP has been hungry off and on over these last 2 years ...

Ooooooh! Admires Shadowborn's shiny badges.

Looks like bargaining to me. Two more steps before acceptance.

Liberty's Edge

We better paddle faster, before the New Zealand Army Marching Band catches up with us and their awful Katey Perry medley gets here.

Liberty's Edge

Don't click this link.

Or this one.

Just don't! I'm warning you!

This one's better.

Somebody tap the keg, please?

Liberty's Edge

Hey, check out this ad for Sears.

Liberty's Edge

The sun is getting to me... or moon... whatever that thing is up there. Somebody turn off that dang lamp!

*chugs chocolate milk*

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you: The World Championships in air crocket

Hiya Everybody!

Hopefully this is a one-off appearance on the raft, as I hope to be in the promised land next year...

Dark Archive

Paizocon will have to grow for us all who promise ourselves will go next year

Not bargaining. I'm still on anger. This isn't bargaining so much as a petty attempt to get back on them for going without me.

huh we now have magic puffins... weird....

Well, magic puffins certainly break the monotony. And if we run out of food, we can eat it.

Don't know what your talking about? I know last year Treppa was having hallucinations of a magic hippuffin.

That'd go great with some of these leftover hippy chunks.
