Ah ok - hey, don't think that what those people speak there was German - it's definitely not :)
Can you name the first five things that come to your mind when you think of Germany - based on your exchange?
Wow, Salzwedel has only 24k inhabitants?! (just looked it up) Even my home city (which I always felt was being very small, has like 80k) don't tell me it wasn't boring there heh.^^

Okay:
1. Fussball! (soccer)
2. Das gute Bier (the good beer)
3. Das Ordentlichkeit von...ziemlich alles(the orderliness of... pretty much everything)

Very sick, feel like I'm dying. OK, that's an exaggeration but seriously I feel like crap and so does my daughter. Won't be on much until this passes. Sable's been asked to take over for me, he can text or call me if need be for any questions that only I can answer for Bree.

Brrrr. Get well soon, both of you!

@ T-Ron: Yeah, it'S definitely better than the two you mentioned, but it's still a quite heavy dialect (at least for me, who comes of a rather dialect-free region). I'm from the Lower Rhine area originally, so nearly Dutch, but my father is from Bavaria and my relatives who still live there have quite a horrid accent^^
Orderliness is a big thing here, I often think it's overregulated, but I guess that's normal - we have forms for everything - we even have forms for applying for a form^^
And I also had the impression that Americans are very polite, but refrain from telling you that you don't like you (even though they probably do). In Germany most people tell you what you think about you - in your face :)
@ Tirion: Do people in the US play Skat? Never thought about that - if not, you have to introduce it there, so simple and still so good^^

I think I still have a Skat deck. Loved the game, but nobody in this country has ever heard of the game. The only game that is somewhat comparable is bridge, at least it is the only real bidding game I know. But it is usually played slowly by older people, exactly the opposite of Skat which I spent hours playing at the Gymnasium.

Of course if she starts hallucinating with fever it'll be up to me to determine why she's suddenly telling me to give away her gear and trying to carve away the drow's kiss from her forehead.
He's so mean to me, I don't know why I ever became his friend. Look at this, and he didn't even tell me he hopes I get better soon! ;)
Thanks for the well-wishes everyone. I'm just checking in briefly to see how the games progressing. I'm still feeling something awful, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to go in to the doctors tomorrow if not the ER tonight. My ear is starting to feel like it might rupture. Anyway, continue on for me, I'll contribute to the game again when I feel better.

I know you'll be fine, it's my curse :P But just hurry up about it!

Just remember for all those planning on joining the HOJ team:
To join the Journey crew;
Your sanity must be askew;
A rubber tongue is also fine;

Remember that we not too bright;

Hi guys! Let me welcome you around the campfire, the common ooc thread.
@ Illusees: Ability generation looks good.
I think we will just exchange Vidor for you, since he didn't ahve a chance to interact by now anyway. So you should think of a background that includes one of your family members being in the jury of Mord's trial.
@ Ceragia: You won't be able to enter the campaign until the group has left the MIsgivings, but I guess that won't take that mega long and it will simultaneously give you enough time to read how the campaign fared during the first 3k posts.
Starting Wealth is half of the wealth by level table.

Well eventually we'll have to stop and rest for the night I've got the feeling. We haven't had any combat encounters but these things are draining resources fairly quick. And if this ghost comes gunning for us? Mitebebad.

I kept them from the point buy of the prior game she was in that ended. It was a 20 pt buy as I remember. Would you like a new set rolls ? If needed
4d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 3, 2) = 15
4d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 4) = 11
4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 4, 6) = 13

Cool - what is your 7th stat? If you are only using the regular 6, drop the 9 and you are barely at DMZZ's minimum.

ceragia trundle |

I followed the format I had seen above. I was giving those rolls however just in case dmz needed to see them and wanted me to use those instead. My stats on character sheet were already generated from a prior game and are what I had planned on keeping if that is ok.

Tirion Jörðhár |

Lets put it this way, my two characters in DMZZ campaigns stats are:
14 15 13 17 6 18; and
18 10 13 13 14 17
with point buys these would have been 34 points and 40 points respectively I believe. I would strongly recommend not using your 20 point buy in.

OK guys, I think I'm feeling well enough now to take back over for Bree. At least, I seem to have the pain management down. It turns out, my simple cold led to a lymph node infection and fluid build up behind my ear. I've been in quite a bit of pain the last 3 days or so. Last night I broke down and went to the ER when my eardrum felt like it was going to rupture. They've put me on Lortabs, Motrin 800 and Amoxicillin. I definitely still feel like crap, and likely will for a couple more days at least, but the Lortabs are helping with the pain and the Motrin with the swelling.
@Illusees: Heart of Riddles still just hasn't been the same without Sweeney :(

Bree Longfield |

Ah! Didn't know you "are" Sweeney! If you would like to return to Riddleport that is also no problem.
@ Brre: Get better soon - sounds horrible
Thanks Zyren, and yes it is :(
I don't think he wants to rejoin. Sable and I tried to drag him back when you took over, but he said he just lost interest in it after such a long delay in the game. It would be awesome if he did though.

After listening to This again I'm totally in western mode again :) Deadlands anyone^^
I'm in. Reloaded or old school?

A cherokee brave half old-ways half whiteman's tech.

Tirion Jörðhár |

should I roll 3 sets of 6 and keep the best set?
Prior statements from DMZZ is roll until you get one >75 - since your last one was =75, he told you to roll again. I would do it in 3 sets of 6 personally, but it is up to him. I say do 3 sets of six, if none are >75, do it again. Once you get one over 75, tell DMZZ what one you are planning on using, at least that is what I did.
--> If you put them in a spoiler, then it takes up a lot less room on the thread.
