Witch's Scar Hex combined with Symbol of Death / Pain

Rules Questions

Quick Q

The new witches hex that allows you to cover the target in horrible scars which as described could be in the form of a letter.

Could this then be used to scar an enemy with a symbol of pain spell on their forehead, particular nasty if you do it in the middle of an enemy group with the hapless target not understanding why everyone who looks at his face is dying.

heh just make sure you don't go look at it ;)

I would argue no since symbols are placed on a "surface" not a creature. Granted you could argue that a forehead is a "surface," but I would most likely rule no if I were GM.

With a casting time of 10 min I don't see this working with the scar hex.

Edit: good effort though

ah missed the casting time.

although I guess you could sleep hex a guard walking the perimeter , scar the symbol into him while he's sleeping then let him wake up walk back to camp and trigger it among his friends.

hehehe probably something the GM would let you get away with once for flavour but not twice ;)

you need one witch to maintain the slumber hex while a second witch does the scar/symbol of pain

The Slumber hex isn't one you can maintain, so that wouldn't work. Drug them while they're unconscious, maybe?
