Who are your new buddies from the cover of Cohorts and Companions? You even got them matching outfits!

Minions. I have had minions for a while. They don't last long though. Not sure I remember who those two were. Or even how they died. They were in it for the money, in any event.

Did you wind up saving on paying them, or like Ezren, did you make the mistake of paying them in advance?

If they don't last long, then why do you bother with the matching outfits? Seems like a waste of money.

Branding, APZ. It's all about the Merisiel brand. Accept no substitutes!

Having them wear matching uniforms based on your outfit doesn't sound very chaotic of you, though. Is Kyra gradually edging you over to lawfulness, or neutrality? What next... paying taxes? :-o

Actually dressing up your minions in matching uniforms is very chaotic if you're doing so to boost your own ego. Context matters.

I don't consider paying someone in advance a mistake. Often, mercenaries take jobs like this so they can use the advance payment to pay off other debts or the like to help friends or family, and therefore when they don't come back from their last job, they still manage some good out of the whole thing.

I didn't buy their clothes. What they do with their money is up to them.

Kyra is hardly lawful.

On page 26 of Cohorts & Companions there's an illustration of you with a nasty-looking bat creature perched on your arm. Do you think someone commissioned that picture to deliberately freak you out, and if so, will stabbing ensue?

Or have you actually been working on overcoming your fear of bats?

That's someone disguised as me who then proceeded to blow their disguise by not being properly afraid of a bat is all.

Meri seeing that there are more iconics on their way, do you think you'll be adventuring and having shenanigans with them soon?

Now and then, perhaps, but they tend not to be as active overall.

We all know that you like knives. My question is: do you prefer an overhand or underhand grip when you fight with your knives?

Meri what is your opinion on fancy hats? Especially the big ones with a large feather on them?

As soon as you prefer a grip, your enemies can plan counter moves. I have no preference.

Speaking of headgear-isn things is the jewel on your forehead magical? If not have you thought about getting it enchanted?

Could see it creating daggers of force that shoot at people that annoy you.

It's not magic. Usually. Sometimes when I'm high level it is.

And no... force daggers are inferior to ones you hold in your hands.

Yes, the Osiria Rose gains nutrients only by luring in bats with its beauty before stabbing them with their thorns on contact and feeding on their suffering.

Nope. It's about contrast, not washing everything out.

So does that mean you see shades of colors that are indistinguishable to humans? For example, let's say we set two dabs of paint out, one lime green, and one a hair yellower than that, but just barely. If an average human couldn't tell the difference between the two colors, would it be easier for an average elf to say "Oh yes, this is lime green, and this is [insert elven for 'a hair yellowish than lime green' here]."?

Exactly. One of several benefits our +2 to Perception checks gives us.

Have you ever heard of a colorblind elf? That would be a sign one of the gods doesn't like you.

I have not.

That would be as awesome just as much as it would suck.

How can you walk around with your sharpy-pokey rapier & dozen slice-y knives and not stabbity-stab every idiot you come across?! Seriously. Do you do meditation exercises, have some magical willpower-buffing item, or is Kyria always casting hold on you?

I just want to stab idiots I haven't even met in person, and so many of them won't shut up, filling the air & aetherweb with their loud bigoted ignorance that "must be heard", continuously taunting me with their needing-to-be-stabbed-edness.

How do you do it? You are like some nascent Empyreal Lord for self-restraint in stabbiness.

Do you ever have trouble with non-verbal communication due to the fact that people can't really tell whether you're making eye contact or not?

The urge to stab is somewhat mitigated when those you desire to stab can stab you back, I would imagine.

Usually if something has been stabbed to death it makes it kinda hard to stab you back.

Practice. Turns out, stabbing everything tends to get you in prison. I've been there. In prison AND in stab-everything mode. Not too eager to go back to that place. It helps to practice stabbing with words, since those tend to not get folks AS worked up as sticking them. It also helps to have someone like Kyra around who keeps you calm. Sort of. Partially because she's good at calming me down, but also because I kinda hate it when she gets that look in her eye when I sorta kinda step over the line.

That's my advice I guess. Make friends with a cleric who worships the goddess of healing and redemption.
