Advanced Firearms and Misfires

Gunslinger Discussion: Round 2

I'm assuming text trumps table here, but the entry for advanced firearms specifies that they do not misfire, while the table lists misfires for all three advanced firearms. Which is it supposed to be?

They don't misfire

To add on to the OP's question, if you use several things that increase the chance of a misfire on an advanced firearm, do you risk misfires or not? If you do something to a rifle that increases the misfire from the tables listed 1-2 by 1, do you now risk misfire:

a) 2-3
b) 1, because there is no misfire, except what you just introduced
c) have no misfire chance.

That is correct. They do not misfire, and there is no misfire increase for using alchemical cartridges.

One situation does remain though.

If the firearm gains the broken condition, does it then gain a misfire chance?

I would go with yes (4*), but the official ruling may differ.

note: * 2 with gun training

So advance firearms can

Get a Touch Attack out to 5 range increments.
Get a Normal Attack out to 10 range increments.

And now they do not have a misfire chance.

But i liked the misfire chance of Advanced Firearms. A chance for a bullet to jam or damage a gun.

I really think that this should be something that affects even advance firearms. (Not Advance energy weapons, like laser, plasma rifles, etc). But any gun that fires a projectile.
