You'll want to make sure you stay at the hotel the Con is at, it's way easier then trying ot commute about.
The wife called the number, but they said that they don't have a block for the the con with reduced rate, or that they allow pets. So I'll have to check if anyone else is having that problem and see about boarding the pets for the trip.

Aberzombie wrote:I hated the first episode but this show is growing on me. I like Grimm on Fridays too. Of course it is a male Buffy.Crimson Jester wrote:You have been reading the original Grimm's haven't you?No, but they were the original inspiration. I used to do stories like this years ago, and for the life of me I can't remember who I did them for. But I recalled them yesterday while the wife and I were watching Once Upon A Time, so I thought I'd revive the practice for my fellow FAWTLies.
They're not perfect, but between Grimm, Once Upon a Time, and American Horror Story, there is broadcast TV for me to watch again. When was the last time? When Crusoe and Legend of the Seeker were on? Damn, TV sucks.

You guys left a heaping ton of ghosts behind in PA and NJ, if you ever want to come and pick them up.

I love it when we have these German discussions. This is one of the pieces in my mental soundtracks that plays every time.

Just found out that I have around $30.00 in my bank account due to National Grid deciding to f$@# me with a broom handle. I can now officially not afford to buy food.
That sucks. Seems like you've had a run of bad luck lately... I hope things turn around for you - I've lived on the edge before and it's not good for anyone.

Is it due to overdraft charges? If so, check with the branch you opened your account at -they may have a separate line to reimburse you from.

I'm actually pretty reserved at the table.
Now, if I were to channel Mandorallen for my paladin, that might change...

Interesting... For me, it depends on the character. I've covered everything from quiet country boys, to Rekkstuff VanHalen.
And AM of course.

Aberzombie's Really Grim Fairy Tales:
The Princess and The Dragon
Once upon a time, in a far away kingdom, there lived the beautiful Princess Marigold. One day, Marigold was kidnapped by the evil dragon Vexendyn. The dragon took the princess back to his mountain cave, and threatened to eat her unless the king paid him his own weight in gold.
The king, not having that kind of money, decided to appeal to the heroic Prince Max of the neighboring kingdom, offering Marigold's hand in marraige if Max would rescue her and slay Venedyn. Max loved Marigold, and was very brave, charming, and skilled with a sword, so he agreed.
Prince Max journeyed through the Forest of Doom, fought past the Swamp of Eternal Frustration, and finally arrived at Vexendyn's cave on Mount Gump. The brave prince called out his opponent and prepared for battle.
Vexendyn killed and ate him.
Then, for good measure, he killed and ate the princess.
Then, for further good measure, he flew to the king's castle, killed the king and all his friends, and burned his damn castle down.
The end.
That's depressin.

GMing does wonders for your roleplaying ability, I will say that.
Also for your improvisation. Had a character who was slated to be a constant rival to the main party end up their ally (and technically they worked for her). Had to replan a few things.
Agreed. Still not great at it, but I can make things up a lot better than before. My players don't often make me however.

Cross your fingers, all, that my partner lands one of these jobs he's applying for. They would be awesome.
His photography hasn't been very profitable, but he has found a few Italian teaching jobs that popped up randomly. (High school Italian teachers aren't exactly in demand.)
One pays really well, in the NYC area. Yes, yes. I know. We just moved. But the job would be worth it, and is long term (i.e. his contract would be up for renewal the next year - no set end date).
The other is here in L.A., and is just a maternity leave fill-in, but that would be a great help for the time being. Apparently they are desperate to find a qualified Italian teacher for this position - only a handful of schools in Southern California offer it, so no one around here really gets a certification in it.
