I've run Kingmaker like five or six times by now, as a DM. It's become an inside joke among my buddies that I'm cursed to forever be a DM for Kingmaker games, never getting to be a player in one despite having some character ideas that'd go well with it. Haha, what can I do?
Id offer to GM it for you, but it would need to be online, and we'd need to wait for a bit, since I'm currently playing trough it.
We never play naked however. It would terrify the neighbors.

Friends have caught COVID-19, and it defenitely is not 'just a flu'. They have respiratory issues. Luckily fairly mild. Getting out of breath when doing simple tasks. And they are completely healthy people.
Well I'm glad to hear from a source I trust on it anyways. Everything is so stop and go with it. Like :It's bad but it's not THAT bad but it is bad etc. Ofcourse nothing would justify the idiot things people are doing in stores as of late.

So far they are doing good. Real challenge is that they have kids aged 5 and 7 who are home with them. And since they have to stay indoors as well...

Well, in all fairness I get quite uppity when someone says, "Just a flu".
If you're not bedridden and needing care from others, it's NOT THE FLU.
The flu's become too generic of a term for any illness.
Have a temperature of 99.7˚F and have to lie down for a bit? It's a cold.
Have a temperature of 103.7˚F and are in serious danger of death by dehydration because you're too sleepy to even get up and get a drink of water? It's the flu.
</uppity old man rant>

And I should point out that I feel that I get uppity for good reason. I have otherwise-intelligent friends and co-workers who say, "Oh, I don't need a flu shot," or, "It's OK, I've already had the flu so I don't have to worry," because, "I was sick for about a week! Runny nose, mild fever! It was awful! I couldn't even go jogging for more than a block or two!"
So we (English speakers) refer to all mild ailments as "the flu", and hence when doctors offer us flu shots or friends say they have it, our reaction is, "Oh, it's OK, I've already had it this season..."
...when they haven't.
Which is, in my opinion, a Bad Thing.

Well, would you look at that? It's Day 1000.
And it's pretty scary. Almost 3 years into my sobriety, I still crave alcohol multiple times a week. It's true what they say: Once your body is hardwired to think it needs it, there's nothing you can do but abstain.
This whole idea of, "Moderation is better than cold turkey," is gaining ground in the scientific community, but as someone for whom moderation has never been easy, I just don't see myself starting drinking again any time in the near future.
Once I'm retired (so not working) and not raising the kids, maybe I'll give it a chance.
But I lost 10 years of my life to the stuff, and I just have no temptation to go back down that rabbit hole.

That said, I'm never dismissive of the flu, or it's symptoms.
Which is why I'm pretty much a hermit in the winter.
Yeah, being a hermit is definitely the way to go in the winter.
But you have to admit, it is much easier to be a hermit with multiple feet of snow blocking you from going anywhere! :)

I dont get the flu shot because around here it is a true random guess as to which strain of the flu is going to get popular. I know several people who had experiences similar to Captain Yesterday, and with what some places were charging for the flu shot, I wasnt going to bother.

I use pawns (so many pawns) and a chessex megamat.
Thank you all for thoughts. I have an in person weekly game. Heavy on dwarven forge layouts and such. I have a bunch of minis from my painting days and now a pretty big selection of the WizKids stuff...so we are very much into seeing what we do.
BUT...want to keep options open. We have a few with college age kids, a few with infant/toddlers/middle school age...and a few with older parents in close proximity. SOOOOO....looking to explore what can help us limp through this hooha.
I think we will test play sunless citadel on roll20 and then see what fantasy grounds is like...and/or campaign theater from hero lab.

My job in the winter is to shovel said snow so people can go somewhere.
Which is why I liked working with Rocko, he liked to drive his own truck and we'd just split the list (I'd get 60% of the list (at least) and he'd do 40% (if I was lucky).

Soooooo hard to avoid ranting about politics today.
Instead, I'll note that GothBard and I reluctantly started watching My Hero Academy Season 4 yesterday, after we both found Season 2 very meh and Season 3 "pretty good".
And holy carp, Season 4 is good.
We're hard-pressed not to just tell everyone, "Sorry! Corona!" and vanish for the weekend to binge watch it.
Nice job picking things up, guys!

Yes, but isn't it fun to walk in to public places with your head all stuffy, clutching a tissue, and have people stare at you in alarm?
No. No it isn't. (Takes an extra Allegra.)
The South bites.
It did before the virus, and it will after.

By order of the Gov of Illinois, restaurants/bars/etc closed except for delivery/pickup/drive-thru through March 30th, for now.
The Gov's office had recommended that St Patrick's Day activities in Chicago be cancelled or severely limited. People didn't listen. Pritzker's going with the nuclear option since people aren't listening very well.

It says something about how long it's been since I listened regularly to country music that I had to Google it to find out what song I'd unintentionally referenced.

I still don't get it.
Granted I don't Google country music, ever.
Though I do listen to a bit of it.
