A2 has a lot of the same kind of energy as a larger city, but also all the trees! Seriously the city's greatest comic book store and rpg shop used to be on the same street with the empire state building. Didnt find that out for years upon years because we didnt bother looking up.

My dad was always pretty fond of classic metal - AC/DC, Metallica, Zeppelin, etc. - and he was the one to introduce me to the genre growing up, but we always bought the censored versions of albums.Censored versions are NOT heavy metal.
I didn't even know you COULD buy censored versions of Led Zeppelin.
The Wal-Mart in the nearest city to the south central Texas town I grew up in always provided censored versions of any CDs with an advisory sticker. It was well into my college years before I learned some artists don't ever even release a non-explicit version of their albums.

Fun fact: Wal-Mart likes to portray itself as family friendly and so insisted on artists making censored versions if they wanted to be carried at Wal-Mart.
Related fact: because of its size and the ubiquity with which its stores are positioned in rural America, being able to sell at Wal-Mart would frequently make the difference between having a non-seller and a gold record certification with appurtenant income.
End result: artists preemptively self-censored when writing lyrics or prepared radio edits of their songs so that they could be assured of being able to sell in Wal-Mart.
When I mention 2 Live Crew to my nephews they go - who? But they were pretty cutting edge with their lyrics at the time, but even they prepared tamer versions of their songs to cater to the Wal-Mart demands....which led to the Roy Orbison lawsuit.

Okay, Eve is over her snit (I think it was killing the demon spider in the garage that did it) and made us all beignets for breakfast this morning, so life is better again. And she's talking about (a) maybe making them again before we leave, and (b) going to the farm stand nearby to get green tomatoes to fry for breakfast one morning.

That really does sound like a medication, especially when it is in all caps.
My own comical (for observers) physical coordination and frightening (for other motorists) driving are bad enough when I'm stone-cold sober. I refuse to take the blame for anyone else operating under the effects of Amby PM.
Although, I could put a six-figure endorsement deal from a pharmaceutical manufacturer to very very good use especially now.

Speaking of political hot-button issues and parental advice, do yourself and all your fellow travelers a favor, and for the first 2 years of your child’s life make your relatives come to YOU.
You need the money you’ll save, you’ll avoid the massive stress of taking a plane or train with a baby, and the people who don’t have to travel with you will be thankful.
(Yes, people have serious extenuating circumstances, but most of the travelers I’ve spoken to have just said, “Of course we’re taking him to see grandma! She’s too busy with her hiking and volunteer work to fly down to see us! What? Cheaper? What? Easier on everyone? Why hadn’t I thought of that?”)

For many of the albums I had growing up, I didn't even know there were explicit lyrics or alternate versions, since the albums are only marked as such in their original version and the censored album is sticker- and emblem-free. As a result I tended to think of them as the default.
All the versions my family owned were censored, as were any that (rarely) happened to pop up on the radio, so imagine my surprise when I'm in my middle years of college and see Metallica's S&M album for the first time with an explicit lyrics sticker on it, despite that being easily my favorite album to listen to throughout the entirety of my high school years.

Work's been going alright aside from a few setbacks. My roommate wants to run a 2nd ed campaign for one of the tabletop groups we've formed, and the main one wants to try out Shadow of the Demon Lord once we finish our current run of Dark Heresy. It's funny how we've branched out from D&D to other tabletop games throughout the years. Been a while since we actually ran a Pathfinder game.
