Nothing quite like family.

Without question. Is my sister tactless and tasteless? Frequently.

She has this obsession with calling out my mother's family's WASP insularity... they eat nothing with any kind of seasoning or spice (or flavor, to be honest) other than salt and pepper, won't try anything outside of their narrow little box, won't explore anything the rest of the world has to offer, and turn up their noses at the suggestion that it might actually be good.

Does she say so non-offensively? Of course not. She's my sister.

Reminds me of my family, especially my mom who will stick pretty much to nothing but Chinese food. I think it's one of the things the older generation get(sorry if I'm insulting anyone). My Aunt is happy eating Japanese food and my Dad can be quite happy eating steaks, but too long of western cuisine(like what happened in Italy), and they'll have to find whatever passes for Chinese food in the country and eat it.

I probably have mentioned it before, but the only time I suffered from that was when I was in UK on a school trip. The salmon was over baked and dry, and they kept giving me fried fish and chips. I did try them with mash peas, and I'll say the taste is pretty unique.

Mushy peas, oh yes.

Did you have hot pie & peas?

Now I'm hungry for Sheppard's pie

Made with real sheppards?

So am I. I stick to water and unsweetened tea.

Note: I do realize that's pretty strict, particularly if one doesn't like tea, but it's alarmingly effective.

My only water sources here at work are from faucets above a slop sink in the storeroom/Security Office. I'm not sure I trust them all that much.

I wouldn't.

Caveat: Also scotch and bourbon, but that's not exactly a regular thing. Every once in a while (twice a month, maybe?) I'll cheat and have a good stout or porter.

So Gran, I'm hoping to bag another salmon today.
You want another side of smoked salmon? seasoned with drow poison and powdered glass like the last batch?

Powdered glass doesn't work!

And drow poison is listed as Type injury in archive of nethys so it can't be used for spiking food!

Isn't "powdered glass" just sand?

Took Teensy Valeros on go-karts for the first time. He didn't trust my driving... he kept shouting, "Left, Mom, Left! Now right! RIGHT! RIGHT! Now Left! AAAAARGH!"

At what point did he say 'AAARGH!'?

DO NOT WANT

Doesn't Crystal leave Paizo every few years.

She'll be back (and probably with a promotion).

Or we'll see her name in the writing credits for some upcoming Marvel movie.

Either way, it won't be the last time we see Crystal. :-)

I don't know, Cap. The tone of the blog page makes me feel that this is permanent.

When we started to fishtail coming out of a 180 turn.

It does say she's still going to be attached on as a freelancer, so we'll still see her writing AP chapters and otherwise helping out. She's just not going to be full-time with the company anymore.

I'm super sorry to see Crystal drop off from full-time! She's managed several of my favorite recent concepts from Paizo...

Or a shepherd's pie peppered with actual shepherd on top.

And I've just begun; here's a politician so oily he's served with a doily. Have one!

Put it on a bun; you never know if it's going to run.

Ok >.< day. I stayed up late (1.30 am) watching Lets Play of Grim Fandango on youtube, woke up late, did my GM duties, and as a result got to work late. Now just fuzzying around the place.

The Exchange

Also I don't know much about the paizo developers so I don't really feel anything - how do you feel for someone you don't know? Anyway I also don't hoard up paizo products since I feel d20pfsrd (yeah I know its not that accurate) and archive of nethys is enough for my cheesy needs. Well if I need. And I only buy the occasional AP to run for entertainment. Though if I wanted to run continuously I should start preparing the next AP now as I start looking for players...but meh maybe I'll just take a break for a while. Don't feel particularly hyped or whatever to run.

Again I'm feeling a sluggish day on me, so it probably isn't the best time to think about it either.

Learnt to work the different machinery, we use on the horses. Seriously they have massage-machines for most of the horses and three horse thread-mills…Damn luxury horses ^_^'
Had to repair a pen.
Talked to a pair of darling foals as I was patching up their mommies.
Sallow, but long, gash on mommy no 1's (Chandra, I think ^^') leg, though we can't really figure how she got it...So a washing in iodine, salving and a bandage.
Mommy no 2 (Errr I can't remember yet ^^') had dried out so much below fetlock joint (backside) the skin was breaking, so she's in for a couple weeks of salving.
Foals got a nuzzling ^^ (weren't that keen at first, but as mommies couldn't run away, they stayed around)
Gave the horses new straw and hay.
And a lot of sweeping.

All in all, an okay day :p

Did you nuzzle a horse? Also what kind of breed of horses are they? How do massage machines work on horses?

@Tac, sent you a PM!

Well, Mort, there are some developers so talented that they seem to have a presence about them. When they aren't around anymore, there's a palpable sense of their absence. I've never met Crystal in person, but I've come to know a bit about her by reading the modules and APs she worked on, and by reading her posts. I know that I'll miss her presence on the forums.

Time to go home. Good night, everyone.

Wow. 1574 posts, this time . . . . Y'all been busy.

Yum! Yum!

But yeah it's sort of weird having a lack of energy because usually I'm like full of Zip. I suspect insufficient sleep. Please remind me NOT to watch Grim Fandango let's play till some unholy hour tonight.

Maybe I haven't eaten enough vegetables. No wait, I had stir fried spinach last night.

The Exchange

Or maybe I need more tea. I only had one cup of chamomile spear mint today.

Or maybe I haven't had my fruit for today... I have a persimon in my bag.

NO! I must not fall to the dark side! Coffee is addictive!
