I know that Paizo has already released products that they will be coming out this year and I know that they are hard at work on those. But what I would like to know from the Paizo community is what types of products/books would you like to see Paizo come out with next year (2012)?
I know that people are hoping for psionics and epic level, that's a no brainer, but if these happen to be what you would like to see please explain why.
As for myself, I would love to see a chronicles book of Alkenstar. I think its a really cool place and would love some insight/feedback as to how to run games with extended periods there (especially since spellcasters are highly nerfed while in that location).

An Epic Level guide! Includes new abilities and capstones for every core and base class, taking them all the way up to level 25-30. Included could be an Epic Bestiary, which includes monsters of CR 26+, designed to be absolutely broken so as to cater to high-high level characters. And then there could be the Epic Artifacts, items so ridiculously powerful that an entire campaign should be built around them! Epic Magic, introducing spells that go all the way up to Level 12!
Joking aside, a Chronicles book regarding the Spawn of Rovagug would be cool, as I've mentioned in my Bestiary III wishlist.

Tengu of Golarion.
Unless Golarion is too orangey for crows.
KQ#14 has the ecology of the tengu with a sidebar from James Jacobs with Tengu in Golarion

Other than my idea for a Companion Guide to the Planes (or similar, perhaps more evocative, name), let's see.
Psionics and epic would be cool, but I'm unlikely to have great need of either (more likely to use psionics than epic). Although if epic rules are cool I'll likely think about a way to use them. More info on Golarion would be my main preference. Places that are fairly undeveloped now (Alkenstar, Thuvia, for example), or regions beyond the Inner Sea. I know we're getting Tian Xia this year, but there's more. I'm particularly interested in Vudra (which would make psionics more pertinent), the Crown of the World, and Sarusan. Arcadia I'm still waiting to know more about before I have a reason to think it's interesting, and I still need to be sold on non-Vudra Casmaron.
Most of all I'm interested on more about the planes and more about worlds beyond Golarion. I know we're unlikely to get any devoted books about the latter any time soon, but continuing to drop bits of information here and there would be great.

I'd like to see a proper treatment of magic items basics like weapon gems, item sets and Diablo-style random items.
Also, we need more items. The system has item slots that barely are covered. Where are the shirts and vests, for instance?
I hope Bestary 3 has more templates, now that there are no new wotc minis on the horizon. Particularly I want to see a revised Paragon quick template.
An 320 page Npc Gallery would also be great. The Gamemastery Guide chapter was nice, but not nearly enough to cover the basics up to level 20. Mixed npc parties to all "level tiers" would be very nice. Also, lots of archetypes was missing: barbarian tribesfolk (not cannibals!), archmages, sellswords of higher levels, witches of the wilds, not to to mention orc/goblin/ect variants. I could go on.
And since James asked at one point: I would like reprints. The GMG is a fantastic book to read, but not nearly useful enough to bring to the gaming table (I dont own a car).
A steampunk rule book, and a setting.
I would also like d20 Modern support. Mecha Crusade and WoD-style vampires would be nice. Space opera would also be nice.
And finally, epic rules. I like to continue the story until its done, and sometimes 20 levels is not enough. Also, a couple of my players love the tactical challenges of epic games, but I want to provide that game without killing myself or the other players.
Specifically the Steven Ericsson books show the style I am looking for.
Oh, and a Greenwood/Grubb/Reynolds designed Forgotten Realms reboot would be nice.

For 2012?
No apocalypse crap - I'm sick of the Mayan hoo-hah.
Bestiary 4 - If you do it, please DO NOT do pre-existing monsters with Levels of core classes. New monsters are just fine. Also, steer away from "civilized" monsters please. How about some variant Aaracockra?
Epic Level - 10th+ Level spells. Feats. Prestige Classes. Magic items - if you add them, don't just do the +10 blahbity blah; that's easy.
More Chronicles for the rest of Avistan.
Vudra/Casmaron World Book - Since we get the Tian-Xia in 2011, this would be awesome.
APs - One set in the dinosaur lands up north. ...and/or... One focused on having a "classic" dungeon kind of feel. For instance, each one could feature a 'dungeon' with 15 - 25 rooms and areas, laden with traps and whatnot. Perhaps these are famous ruin, the PCs are Indy Jones types, and there could even be 'competing' NPC adventure groups (re: Belak). ...and/or... a Sea/Ship-based AP where the PCs are the crew of a ship.
High Level Adventure or Two - even if you don't/cant do Epic.
Ultimate Faith
A book of Haunted Houses with Flip Mat tie-in.
A Froghemoth miniature - though to be fair, if you haven't done one by then, I might (I am one of the owners of Secret Skeleton Miniatures).

I've said this once or 1,000 times before, but something I'm really really really hoping to see is an adventure path based on the Mendevian Crusades and the Worldwound. Of course, such an adventure path would require a companion book or two focusing on the region and it'd be cool to see some supplementary material focusing on using war as a backdrop (a la Heroes of Battle).
Another thing I'd like to see is a book (or possibly a series of books) detailing celestials. I'm of the opinion that, if done right, celestials can make excellent foes in a campaign. Naturally, making them foes shouldn't be the focus of such a book but it's an aspect of celestials that I'd like to see Paizo explore a bit.

Uhm, psionics could be in my list, but the new magic system in UM gives me the powerpoint-based magic I need.
Epic Levels? I don't use them atm, and IMO 3rd Ed wasn't designed to have more than 20 level, the old Epic Levels Handbook had cool stuff, but IMO it had too many basic mechanic flaws. Unless JJ has got a bright idea about how to deal with epic levels I'm not interested.
Book of Ultimate Sneak? Nothing interesting left
I would kill for a good book with simple yet nice tools to rule a Sandbox campaing, on the fly world building, etc..
Revised Pathfinder Campaing Book, about time.
I don't buy APs, but I have nothing against them.
I don't need a 3rd Bestiary because we don't use so many monsters, but it may be useful.

In 2012?
A 'weird science' book. Constructs, magic/steam/contruct cybernetics/whatever, weird science, ray guns, everything in one neat little package. Easy to use, easy to leave out.
Psionics would be nice too -- this could be part of the weird science book without hurting my feelings.
Advanced Player's Races would be exceptionally nice. Not needing a bunch of new mechanics but something with both crunch and fluff for all the 'standard'(ish) races available.
The monsters as player character books. With multiple bestiaries out I think it would be time for a book like this.
A "themes" book -- normally I'm not too keen on these but if it covered in specific detail ways to do magic'punk, steam'punk, low magic, savage, mystery/dramas, and epic heroic campaigns that would be awesome. I don't think this would need as much crunch, more ideas of how to present things, build the story arch, include PCs and their hooks, and perhaps just as importantly when to let the campaign go -- that would be awesome.
A 'stronghold' book would be really nice too.
Steve Geddes
Advanced Gamemaster's Guide covering things in greater depth like how to run a mercantile campaign, a religiously themed campaign, evil campaigns, monstrous PC campaigns, an 'explore and claim territory campaign' (expanding the kingmaker rules via more buildings, more events, etcetera).
Aberrations revisited.
A mega-dungeon AP.
An AP built around political maneuvering (probably in Taldor or somesuch) where the PCs' enemies are more-or-less obvious but where the solution is by necessity more subtle than breaking into their lair and killing them.
------------------
As it is I don't expect any of them (other than perhaps Aberrations Revisited). Luckily, every time Paizo produce something I'm not that interested in it turns out to grab my attention anyhow - thus I'm also hoping for Paizo to surprise me with some things I never knew I needed.

What Pathfinder needs is a book of "anti-feats" and "anti-traits", i.e. disadvantages you can take which then allow you to take additional advantages. Lots of games with point-buy systems have this idea. Adding disadvantageous feats and traits would bring a whole new dimension for character customization and roleplay. Characters could take one negative feat to get one positive feat or two positive traits, one negative trait for one positive one, etc.

I have a burning passion against any "gimp yourself to get a bonus" system, because it encourages powergaming and/or creating wacky "lame, deaf, cursed, haunted, albino hermaphrodite" characters who should be just euthanised at birth, really. Or if you are unlucky, to both at once.

Me too, although I don't think I'd mind a "negative feat for a positive trait" deal - offering an option to those who like to play characters with a weakness without offering any reward to those squeezing out every potential gain.
Kilmore
First of all, Paizo should publish my campaign setting. I don't know how anyone else would like it, but I'd be chuffed.
Other than that, Oriental Adventures and Arabian Knights type, not just Pathfinder world related but usable for other campaigns. If possible follow up with other usual suspects: Vikings, Egypt, Rome, Aztecs, Africa, Mongols.
A good license would be nice. Is Lahnkmar available again? Discworld?

+1 to this type of book.
-1 to the comment that follows. When using this sort of thing, you basically sac up and tell everyone that powergames not to takes these. If someone does powergame it, you deal with it. And you tell your players that they have to have a really good reason/backstory and must play into that hindrance. Also, the gm should provide things in game to challenge the player with the hindrance or use the hindrance to provide more of a challenge for him (if possible). Just my 2cp.

The line between "challenging a player to play up his hindrances" and "dicking him over just because" is very thin, and I prefer to keep it away. It's bad enough with Paladins.
Not to mention the good old "great, now everybody in this village wants us dead because we run around with a gay albino, and apparently it's a death warrant here because the GM wants to challenge your flaw choices, great, kthnxbai" problem.

In my opinion, if you don't like it, don't use it, but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be a book to go over this kind of stuff, and Paizo would be able to put in helpful tips to avoid powergaming this type of mechanic. I do feel it would be great to have to add a little bit more character depth for people (much like myself) who will use this and won't abuse it.

This. May actually be referred to as the Mana Wastes, but I want it nonetheless.

More books like classic horrors or missfit monsters but for Fey, another dragons one, an aberration one, and missfit monsters 2.
More magic item books like classic treasures revisited.
An AP that takes place in/around/under the sea.(pirates, sea monsters, etc.)
A book of artifacts.
A race book(s) for non standard races like planetouched, the Dhampir, goblins, etc.
More monster manuals of course.
More info on the other planets.
A book of the planes and demi planes.
A book that focuses on real world religions(both ancient and modern) and gives various panthions and there domains.

Oh yeah! Love the idea of the "Themes" book as well as the "weird science" book! Would love to see that. I loves me some Steampunk!
A book on the Dark Tapestry. I suppose this could be done in a more detailed Planes book.

A well written guide to shift my own game to a victorian era type setting with items and such. Weird science sounds good to go with this as well.
Possibly Epic Handbook, A psionic book that did NOT use the psychic point system, and maybe a book with lots of useless mundane items that I will go out of my way to find uses for and also some new equipment options.
Also +1 for the anti-feats/traits idea.

NOTHING, till they deal with all the erata and faq's. I was really looking forward to ultimate magic with more druid stuff, till i keep reading how they dont have time to fix alot of the problems they have now. I gm alot of PFS, so i need cut and dry answers. If i was doing a home game than i would do what i did back in 2nd edition time and just rule it as i see it, but i cant do that with PFS. my 2 cents that alot of you dont agree with, but there it is. - Oceans of Golarian. Focus on the undersea races that populate Golarian, their goals, relationships with each other and the surface dwellers, and some history.
- Books devoted to each class, similar to the old "Complete XXX" series. These books could be added to the Companion series and offer new alternate class features, new mechanics, uses for skills, and other flavor items specific for each class.
- Undead. A book devoted to the Undead ala 3.5's Liber Mortis would be greatly appreciated.
- Lycanthropes. I strongly believe that lycanthropes don't get enough love in PFRPG (or any incarnation for that matter). A book devoted to the condition, including skills and feats for controlling the transformations, sample triggers, ways to contract and cure the diseases, and Golarian folklore surrounding them would also be appreciated!

I agree with you, I remember AD&D "Player's Options"... so phobia to snakes (the small animal, not Yuan Tis..) and I get a +1 against everything else? oh well...

@jjaamm - I would just like to point out that you made an excellent point. I have never really understood why so many clamor for errata and whatnot - until just now. Honestly, I had never even considered it from the point of view of someone who runs predominately in a 'con' or 'organize-play' environment. The way you couched your point though, I totally get what you are saying and can completely understand why errata would be very important.
That's all I needed to say. I like having my horizons broadened. Thanks!

Epic Levels, but ones that don't require every player have a calculator handy to figure out initiative, let alone every roll of combat.
Planar and/or Interplanetary setting details for Golarion
Casmaron/Vudra and/or Garund World Guide(s).
And actually, not Psionics, at least not anymore. I really don't think it's that vital anymore, after reading what Dreamscarred Press has done with it. Maybe new bloodlines for sorcerers and schools for wizards based off of the disciplines if somebody wants to have the flavor without dealing with the potential messiness of PP-based psionics.

I definitely like THAT approach to Psionics. Good Idea!

A) Monstrous PCs book.
B) Magic/Mundane Item Book (Complete with FIXED crafting rules, rules for things like building ships, buildings, castles, bridges, etc), low level magic items (stuff for the 4th to 10th levels), and such as that.
Hmm, that's pretty much it, honestly. Epic rules would be good, but after those two.
Merlin_47
Plain and simple, an epic book. My players and I would all love one, because we want to keep going with the characters we have after level 20. Ultimate Magic, we're going to pass on (the APG gives us plenty of spells and none of us are interested in the Magus).
I'm a huge fan of psionics, but I'd rather see an epic book before a psionic book. Sure, I'd like to see one be put out by Paizo, but I'd like an epic book first. As long as it's got rules to let characters continue to advance in their base class, some feats and some new level 10+ spells, maybe a epic PrC or two....I've been waiting patiently since 2nd Ed. AD&D to run a TRUE high level game again.

A) Monstrous PCs book.
I'd like this but not a "here is how to run any monster as a PC" like Savage Species for 3e. I'd rather it be limited to certain non-standard races that seem to be popular in home games.
There are certain "monsters" that nearly every group I have ever gamed with seem to like running as PCs. Drow (pretty much any "dark"/alternate version of the standard races is popular), Goblins, some type of winged humanoid (usually a fairy or elf), intelligent undead, werewolves, demon/devil ancestry, reptilian/draconic humanoids, aquatic humanoids(usually elves) and most 1/2 races.
I don't know if the alternate PCs my group(s) like are actually the most common, but I'd imagine at least a few of them would be well received in an alternate race as PC book.
I'd also like a some kind of planar HC.
Detailed books about specific countries/regions would also be great.

Yeah, Savage Species was simply too broad. If you munchkinned it all the way you could get every class feature of every class by level 16 (hint: use Ur-Priest recall class feature ability)

Personally,
I'd like this kind of book to be broken down like so :Chapter 1 : 2-5 new races balanced for PC use at 1st level
Chapter 2 : Guidelines for building your own races that are balanced (using Chapter 1 races as guidelines).
Chapter 3 : Guidelines for using sentient monstrous races that are CR 1/4 to CR 4, with specific examples on the most popular (Centaur, Minotaur, Drow, Drown Noble, Tiefling, Aesimar, Duerger, etc).
Chapter 4 : Guidelines for GMs on how to incorporate monstrous PCs of CR 5 or higher into the campaign without overbalancing it.
Chapter 5 : Racial feats/favored class bonuses/traits for races in Chapter 1, 3, and 4.
Chapter 6 : Guidelines for GMs on creating racial feats, favored class bonuses, and traits for races not covered in Chapter 5.
Chapter 7 : Tips, Tricks and hints for GMs to run campaigns where monstrous PCs are either not uncommon, or are the norm.
Note that such a book is primarily a GM book, with some Player crunch (Primarily Chapter 1 and 3). Chapter 4, 6, and 7 are kind of an advanced Game Master's Guide specifically tailored for monstrous PCs. This allows the GM to pick and choose what he wants to use and allow.

My group is really looking forward to two things in 2012: epic rules and psionics. We love high level game play and we love psionics. Also, as a GM, I love being able to stat up the uber high level NPCs.
However, one caveat: please, Please, PLEASE make sure that Hero Lab is able to release a data set for Pathfinder epic rules around the same time as the book. Just the thought of having software that can quickly stat up an epic NPC with all the epic feats, spells and gear makes me giddy :)
I suppose the same could be said for the psionic stuff. I'll even go out on a limb and say that I'm a fan on the 3.5 PSPs concept.
After these two items, we would love an AP that was a focused dungeon crawl. Think 'Rappan Athuk Reloaded' updated to PF and set in Golarion.
Good gaming to all,

The problem is that Vudra contains psionics. So if we ever want them to cover Vudra more closely, there has to be something. While they could just cheat and have a wizard school and sorcerer bloodline for "psychic" magic, I've gotten the impression that the devs have been at least starting to consider how they should handle a psionic system.

1. Epic Handbook--Please, this must happen!
2. Hardback planar handbook--Fleshing out the cosmos and detailing how to create your own cosmologies.
3. Bestiary--As long as Paizo can continue to come up with amazing monsters, both in mechanics and variety, I'll keep buying these. One can never have too many monsters.
