I do look forward to the day where Xykon figures out all of the shady stuff Redcloak is doing. I mean, I'm sure he suspects something, because he's an evil boss who should never trust his allies, but I'm talking about the specifics of what Redcloak is up to.
The question I have is will he discover it too late for him to do something about it.
I think Xykon is too egotistical to think Redcloak could actually hurt him. If/when he does something about Redcloak it will more likely be just because Xykon thinks it funny.

I wouldn't be surprised that being the moment he orders MitD, but the big guy has learned enough from his paladin buddy to make his saving throw and take on Redcloak/Xykon (Or really throw a wrench into their plans) and this revealing the actual form.

Sure, but I bet he wouldn't be completely surprised if Recloak tried to hurt him. Or even do something counter to his plans that's not directly hurting him.

We've seen him get mad before. I can envision him getting mad at a betrayal.

What Xykon doesn't know, though, is that Redcloak has his phylactery.
I get the impression that X is clever (in the sense of choosing appropriate tactics for the situation), but not necessarily cunning. He's got his bolthole on the Astral Plane where he thinks his phylactery is secured, which is definitely a clever idea. I can't see him realizing that the phylactery is a fake and not immediately reacting, though. Deferred gratification isn't a part of his makeup.

I wonder if the "You don't need to know that," is foreshadowing.
Would these extra-planar beings be wiped out if the gods decided to reset things? When the gods "destroy the world," does that mean that they reset only the planet the strip takes place on, or only the prime material plane, or all of the planes?

True, and if the Astral Plane survived the resets, odds are that some of the inhabitants of the previous worlds would still be around.
Come to think of it, though, didn't Durkon tell Hilgya to plane shift out if things went pear-shaped and she had enough time? That implies that Durkon, at least, thinks it's only the Prime Material that's going away.

Loki's reaction seemed to suggest that it was Viable. Her belief in my teachings is so pure not "thats not going to work but nice try".
Mind you its not hard evidence but i think its a fair chunk

@RDA: Yes! That was my first thought. How many times have I heard a player, sometimes IN CHARACTER, deliver a permutation of "no one's going to tell me what to do, ever," and "being able to kill them is the ONLY thing that matters"? Seriously, its like they sat at one of my tables, jotted some notes and wrote these panels.

When was it mentioned that Monster-San is dominated? I thought he went along with Team Evil pretty much willingly, due to ignorance and not realizing there were other options.
Even if he is dominated, he will get another will save if ordered to do something completely against his nature. And these days, attacking O-Chul would certainly quality. Probably not true of the rest of the team.
