Talent or feat that allows safe use of poison?

Rules Questions

I know I've seen it somewhere, but there's a trait or feat that allows you the safe use of poison. I'm not referring to the Alchemist or the Poisoner Rogue, but there was a trait that allows you to safely use poison. At least, I think it was a trait. It might have been a feat. So, have I just missed where it is, or am I wrong?

Never heard of it.

Only two examples are what you said.

Unless you're a Drow or Assassin or something.

Have your mommy and daddy be drow?

That does kind of ring a bell with me too. But I can't remember where or what it is, if I dreamt it, or you hypnotised me into believing you.

Maybe in the Council of Thieves Guide.

However, there's several traits that give you bonus on saves against poison.

Scarab Sages

Might be the "Master of Poisons" Feat in the Drow of the Underdark Sourcebook, but that was a 3.5 Sourcebook.

If a character wants to safely use poison, just let the character safely use poison. Requiring a feat especially seems just silly to me.

If it doesn't exist it should be a talent, not a feat. Poison already gives you a pretty poor bang for the buck compared with magic...no need to make it any harder.

A feat that let you make poisons much more cheaply...now that might justify a feat.

Get to a level of Druid that makes you immune to all poison.

As I recall it let you use ONE specific poison.

Or simply allow that if you have the knowledge or craft to make it, you can use it safely.

Have there been any new feats/traits/whatever which give the Poison Use ability? We have a Rogue in our group who would like to get that ability without becoming an Assassin (as she's not Evil), nor giving up trap-related class features (like the Poisoner archetype).

If we don't find a rules-based way to give it to her, our DM is thinking of allowing it as an experimental Rogue talent (limited by what poisons the local inventor-alchemist is willing to/can create). I'm wondering if it should be an Advanced Rogue Talent.

I would say just a Rogue Talent not really useful enough to be an Advanced Talent.

Poison Master (Ex): At 3rd level, the rogue can use poison
without any chance of poisoning himself. For every three
levels of rogue beyond 3rd, the DC for any poison coated on
the rogue’s weapons increases by +1 if the target is poisoned
as part of a sneak attack.

This ability replaces the trap sense ability.

This was in Pathfinder Campian set book page 49

Are you referring to the Poison Use talent? It says your character is "trained in the use of poison, and cannot accidentally poison himself when applying poison to a weapon." Plenty of classes have it including rogues I believe.

Or just use an Unseen Servant to apply the poison for you.

i need to find a feat or means to get poison use too...
i've got an alchemist 6 (vivisector/preservationist) , the combo swaps out poison use. but just realized at 6th level, i now have Swift Poisoning, which doesn't get swapped out by either archetype. so despite not working with poisons, i somehow manage to learn to apply them as a swift action to my weapon. =P

Assassin prestige class would be nice, but i wasn't building towards it with feats.
a level of ninja maybe? except my charisma is dumpstatted.
a level of rogue / poisoner?

=/

Harvester

Quote:
Harvester: You were trained to harvest all parts of an animal with care and precision. You gain a +1 trait bonus on Profession (tanner) or Profession (trapper) checks, and you may make these checks as if you were trained in the skill even if you have no ranks. Additionally, you do not risk poisoning yourself whenever you handle or apply poison taken from a venomous creature.

(ultimate campaign)

That's the only one - it is a trait.
