Character Portrait Advice Needed!

Advice

The Exchange

We're playing in a campaign where everyone for fun is using pictures of movie stars (sometimes doctored) for character portraits. We've got a young Clint Eastwood, John Wayne, and Burt Lancaster. My gnome illusionist is Linda Hunt.

But the half-orc barbarian can't make up his mind. Any suggestions? There's not really any other concrete details I can give about the character--just your typical male, half-orc barbarian.

Thanks for the help!

Conan Stevens maybe

Maybe this guy?

What about Michael Berryman?

How about the really ugly guy from the movie Golden Child. Could be 2 or 3 of them.

Ooooh, good suggestions. I'm glad it's not my decision to make. I'll be sure to show him this thread!

Any further ideas are always welcome!

What about Vin Diesel. Not only does he sound like a half-orc, but he played one when he used to play D&D.

or how about Michael Clarke Duncan.

I vote for Ron Pearlman :D

+1 for Ron Pearlman

or Ogre from Revenge of the Nerds (Don Gibb)

or Jaws from James Bond (Richard Kiel)

How big is the barbarian? If he's a smaller guy, more of a frenzied attacker than a hulking one, you could use Sokka

You may want to go with a pro wrestler rather than an actor for this. (I won't debate the question of whether pro wresting is just acting.)

The Undertaker, Crush, Umaga -- someone like that.

Liberty's Edge

Nathan Jones makes a good basis for a half-orc barbarian.

Yeah, after I read a few suggestions, it became clear that a pro wrestler could make a very good half-orc barbarian.

Although there have been some great actor choices. Just depends on how the player sees himself. I've referred him to the thread, so hopefully he will like one of the suggestions.

I too was thinking a Pro-Wrestler would make a great half-orc. I was reading an article on Batista potentially making the switch to MMA, and he looks pretty barbarianish.

Cher?

One step further from pro-wrestlers, simply go for well-known body builders.
