Besides, it's educational. Can't say the same for Farmville, Mafia Wars, Castle Age, etc.
Educational...in what way?
Geography and bathroom type trivia knowledge. Those big book readers.

Ahh never participated so I did not know. I am at the point where I absolutely hate those damn games.

Maybe..... So scarred I can not use the porcelain throne at this time.
Can we at least agree that Samson is a meathead?
There are much worse "meatheads" then Samson. King Saul for one.
The only thing Saul got going for him is that he was 'tall'. Samuel dropped the ball on that pick.

And he was king, who outlawed stuff and then and went and did it when he deemed he needed to.

Can anyone have a case of the Tuesdays that's worse than a Monday?
It is against the rules, chapter five section 3 Mondays must be worse then any other day of the week. Others days may start worse but have to get better Mondays do not.
Does this also apply for next week for those who do not have to work on Monday due to being rewarded with a federal holiday extended weekend?
Let me check what it says. Nope most holidays are exempt. Except when traveling to see the in-laws which allows it to get much worse. Damn I knew there was a reason I didn't like to travel to Oklahoma.

Speak for yourself. I'm told that we have to go to Cincinnati again for the third weekend in a row (nevermind we're doing a fourth the following weekend) because her sister-in-law is having a baptism for their newest addition. I asked if I could have some chardonnay following communion to go with my catholic calisthenics. ;-)

"Urizen, how long has it been since your last confession?"

"I plead the fifth."

"I'll put you down for 38 years."

Urizen, you've got my full blessing to use Twin Agitate Dragons to your hearts desire. I am abandoning my Twin Agate Dragons alias due to not wanting to be associated with it any more due to the flack its gotten from you.

The successor wasn't much of an angel either. ;-) But I'd rather be focusing on Bathsheba's boobs, to be honest.

Your satire meter is running on empty. Second, it's never a good idea to block a message from being seen and trash someone if there are at least 50+ friends shared. Especially when it includes epithets.

Now quit being a sourpuss and continue using your alias. Today is not a good day for self martyrdom. ;-)

Well I don't want to be a martyr, but I would like for us to settle our differences.

What the heck is an epithet?

In this specific scenario, it has to do with those words that Gary filters.

EDIT: Ninja'ed by the Kingmaker in Crimson.

EDIT: speaking of ball(s).....it's TOTP. No peeking (nor peaking).

I always felt some sympathy for Saul. Damn, Samuel was an ass-kicker.

It seems some drama is going on, but I assume I'm not involved until someone tells me I am.

Hope you've all been doing better than that.

Late? I had to start going to bed early because of morning classes. I haven't gotten to bed later than two all week. :P

It started moving too fast. With less time, I can't handle too many supergrowth threads. I'll try and pitch back in from time-to-time. Feel free to link any that you especially want me to riff off of, take on, note, or whatever.

Sharoth: better yet, move to DFW and sign up for one of my classes. :3

DWF? Where is that? ~grins~ If I could, I would. I do find religion facinating, mainly because I love history so much and it is hard to separate the two.

I had thought it might be the weather, as we have been experiencing somewhat warm days with gloriously cool nights. While I love the cooler temperatures, the fluctuation always seems to throw me off.

And all this talk of crackers has awakened a craving for some clam chowder. I think I might go fix myself some delicious soup.

After experiencing it first hand in Boston back in July '07, I can no longer eat any of it here in Ohio. Other than assuming it's a fresh catch of the day, the chowdah here doesn't come close to compare.

No, no it doesn't.

One my favorite restaurants is a seafood place in Hull, Mass. It was nice having my lobster, clam chowder, and anything else I fancied as the breeze came off the sea.

Yeah. Today's sucking so far. Post got eaten, work is a bear, and tonight's game was cancelled.

Grr. Grr.

I made a vow before I went to Maine: everyday there, I will have lobster and blueberry pie at some point. Oh, man, that was one of the easiest and most pleasurable vows to keep ever. (I think I only drank local microbrews, too, when I had beer instead of wine.)

Probably the same reason many Shadowrun fans don't. It's hard to convince non-fans of its über-coolness. I can usually get fantasy gamers to play by using the line "Haven't you ever wanted to shoot a dragon with a bazooka?"

That's appropriate. He specializes in organizing and managing educational professionals, you focus on the subject and don't get bothered with the paperwork and politics. Everybody's happy.

This feels weird to say, but sometimes I miss talking to clients on the phone regularly. I just spent an hour explaining things to a client, and it wasn't half bad. But, I can remember how quickly that got old...

Me as well. Had my annual review today. Something like this -- "We haven't given you what you needed and we know that you are not ideally placed and that we've pretty much ignored you for the past two years, but we need more from you and so you're not getting a raise."

Nice.

Nice.

I hate annual reviews.

I had a non-interview this afternoon. I call it a non-interview because they are thinking of having me take a lateral move and want me to treat it like I'm getting a promotion. Because I didn't really care - they can move me or not if they want to, but I don't particularly want it - I wasn't in a mood to defend my record. I talked about what I like doing, what I'm good at, what I don't like doing, and when they called me out on lateness and internet use (which I'm doing right now) I didn't make any excuses. I don't think they knew what to make of that meeting, and I don't think I made their decision any easier. The fact is, there's a solid possibility I am moving away in the near future, so it will probably be better for them if they move somebody else instead (didn't tell them that last part, obviously, but it was in my head). Awkward meeting all the same.

Nope. He gets the pay and the cream of everything--including classes. I wipe my ass on what he knows about the field. And by the way, cream is served to him in bulk, and everybody else gets those little ice cream taste spoons. He has a professional degree. I have an academic one.
