So, my first question: What's the group dynamic? Were they assigned before being scrambled? given a few days? weeks? months? of orientation? Trained together?
Your group, which is a special reconnaissance force, is one of 20 groups of 4-6 specialists assigned to exit cryostasis, along with 25% of the U.N.'s military force, and descend down to Terra to check up on the status of the planet. That is if there isn't any response to the fleets communications down on the surface. From that point forward, your mission will be based on what you find down there.
Your group is a mixture of soldiers, scientist, scouts, pilots, etc that are highly specialized in particular fields, and are exceptional in almost all ways. The group dynamic will depend on how you approach the campaign, as I plan to have many different types of situations for you to encounter. You were all trained together for at least four to five months, although the amount of time you each spent with one another could vary, as depending on your background and purpose in the group; you could have even know one another for years, but I'll let you all decide on things like that.

Soo.. any characters Military minded?
Jacq originally worked for a private company, but joined the space force, so she's had her basic training.
She's still more a scientist than a soldier, but she would want to spend time with the team she was assigned to to get to know them and understand their duties... and kick back and play a hand of cards, if there was time for that before entering cryostasis.

Jacq's ready, w/ stats adjusted, etc.
Back to how we all met, I imagine my character met just before the group was training together. Can't aim for crap, but she can take a hit. But she's there for her skills anyway.

Tonight...I shall transform! Into a fighty type character rather then tech-hero. Still with the mecha though. I have a sneaking feeling my buddy Reycied will be joining as the techhead...
He confirmed he is rolling up an engineer and will be posting it up for a hopeful spot. I've also coerced him to pilot a mecha similar to how I had this character setup beforehand. That way two of us can be in giant robits ^_^
By the way, level 2 HP for myself.
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Then Jacq and Zaviera would have most definitely gone out for drinks as a way seeing who was tougher. =D
Absolutely! Close call, that. Must have required many retries and recounts. :)

Here's a Smart Hero gearhead, if you want him along and have room (this is Reycied's character). All I need to do is finish writing out his backstory and finish the math of his combat stats, and he'll be all finished.
The gist is that he's a savant graduate of MIT who, disillusioned with the slow decline of the world at large, enlisted in the army with the hopes of lending his prodigious intellect and skill with machines to bettering the world. Having met up with Mikhail during boot camp, they eventually became something of a two-person team, with Alec looking after and maintaining Mikhail's mecha and gear.
Also, I rolled my HP myself, before, but I'll do it again here.
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Reroll that 1!
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Alrighy, back from my vacation in the mountains. Haven't heard from Urizen, so I'm not sure he's in anymore, so Fray and Reycied is in unless Uri shows up sometime soon. I'll have everything up and ready on Tuesday and we'll officially start then. Time-wise I'm not entirely sure, but I may be able to start sometime even tonight, depending. A little worn out from the drive, so I'm kind of rushing in different directions. Sorry I've been out of touch, but no internet access in the home we were staying at.
Mikhail: The Spatha is Anti personnel but it doesn't have any penaties against vehicles or foot soldiers. For the Secondary feature of the spatha you get 4 grenades.
Here's some images of how I imagine them to look:
Recyied: Alec looks great! If Uri or Fray isn't in or responds anytime soon, you've got a spot for sure.

Thanks! Let me know if I can jump in! I'll keep my eye on the boards. Alec won't be much good in a fight (fairly accurate, but low Defense and HP), but he'll be an invaluable crafter and techie, and I can't wait to roleplay him. I'll be watching the boards, and whether I play or not, I hope you guys have a GREAT time!

D.A.D.-
I had a family emergency over the holiday weekend. I apologize, but I will not be able to devote time to this for a week or so. It is probably best that you fill my slot if you have people waiting.
No problem, Chainsaw. I'm sorry to hear about your emergency, do what you need to do, I'll keep a spot open for your character. I'm sure I can find a way to work you into the story, as long as you still want to play.

Jason Collum's charater, submited for approval.
Still working on backstory
General Info: A psi-ops agent focused on boosting squad members efficiency and enemy sabotage.
Somewhat like Neil Patrick Harris as Col. Carl Jenkins in Starship Troopers.
"Would you like to know more?"
lol nice. Sounds good. I'll let you know when you can start posting, as the PCs are now in the middle of something at the moment. Keep an eye out for it. Let me know if you have any questions.
Also, go ahead and roll your hp, rerolling all 1's and 2's.| Reycied |
Yeah, since Alec is not a combatant (and knows it) his first order of business, assuming he wriggled free, is getting his friends loose so they can defend themselves. He's never going to forgive himself if his squad members got shanked by some star-jockey with the space madness right at the beginning of their first adventure together.
EDIT: Aww, it was a full-round action to break free. No clever repartée between squad-mates yet. XD
| Devils Advocate Droid |
Me'Mori: Yes you are currently wearing scrubs :) 2) You're secured with multiple belted straps. They can be undone with one hand free, although it would take a full round action to do so either way.
Scipion: The orderly is grappling with the guy now, so he would fall under those conditions, not just fluff.
| Devils Advocate Droid |
Hurray for grappling! Hurray for Nat 1!
And unless that guy drops those weapons he's going to have a nasty -4 to break free. Although I have a feeling he's more interested in stabbing...at least that's got a -2 to hit from grappling. We'll have this fellow pinned and hog-tied in no time!
It was a good gamble, insolent human. :)
| Jacquelin Serra |
Nicely done. :)
Sorry I'm not being very helpful so far in the combat. She's so far behind everyone else I figured helping the orderly might be the best course of action.
Plus finding a medikit will help if any of YOU guys are injured too.
