I expected to not have what I expected meet my expectations. I blame Cosmo. Or perhaps Erik Mona.

I should have seen this coming.

Scarab Sages

I felt it coming... in my bones.

Silver Crusade

Cosmo, just claim to be on Valve Time.

It really works, from what I've seen!

Mental asylums are vastly underrated, reasonably speaking.

Hmm...July is Comic Con month...having that many APs released at once would be very bad for my budget...

Take the Multispell feat. You can get instant gratification as many times per round (+1) as you take the feat!

I've just noticed that the subscription schedule for June and July got somewhat less crazy.

Did it? I'm still showing ~9 items from my subscriptions for that month, which is the same as I calculated about a week ago or so.

Part of me actually liked the idea of getting all of those products by the end of July, even though it was going to cost more then usual.:)

My July Changed for me to, went from over $200 in stuff to $89. Advanced Player's Guide Dropped off, and AP #36.

Scarab Sages

Looks like they shuffled the schedule for the next few months. I now have some "expected June" and "July" stuff in my order for this month!

Obviously, I'm wrong. I was looking at the "Product Schedule" page, as I never used the "My Subscriptions" page before (it never has linked to the items themselves so I couldn't easily estimate the price). Didn't realize that the My Subscriptions page got redone (with estimates!). My July is looking a bit leaner now as well, although I'm betting I'm actually going to get an August shipment now with a few of the missing items.

I have the feeling that Vic and I are the reasons why he missed his estimated time window. The two of us have been dealing with an illness to our 16 year old cat this week and have spent all of about 2 hours in the office so far. :/ Hopefully, we will get more clarity on our cat today, though that hasn't been the modus operandi for this week.

-Lisa

I liked mine before I rather just get it all done at once and pay the shipping for 3 APs and the APG all at one time =(

Sorry to hear about your cat its hard when you have had a animal for that long hope its health will improve

Gorbacz wrote:

Mine didn't. As a matter of fact, I think it broke your system. So I set up my subscriptions on the Hold for Monthly Shipment option. It states:

Quote:

Hold for monthly shipment

Ship my subscription products once a month, so I'll pay only one shipping charge.

So here's what is copy/pasted from my page:

Quote:

July 2010

1x Pathfinder Adventure Path #35: War of the River Kings (Kingmaker 5 of 6) (PFRPG)
$19.99 Standard Postal Delivery: $5.27 $25.26
July 2010
1x Pathfinder Companion: Orcs of Golarion (PFRPG)
1x Pathfinder Adventure Path #36: Sound of a Thousand Screams (Kingmaker 6 of 6) (PFRPG)
1x Pathfinder Adventure Path #37: Souls for the Smuggler's Shiv (The Serpent's Skull 1 of 6) (PFRPG)
$50.97 Standard Postal Delivery: $5.82 $56.79

So it appears if I'm getting two shipments of the same materials that was bundled together as one shipment a few days ago. So, umm, I guess I should say thanks?

Yeah, I have two July shipments listed now too, and I'm also supposedly on the "Hold for monthly shipment".

While I appreciate that Paizo is trying to keep people from getting hit all at once, *if they don't want to be*, I really think that the shipping options should do what they say they do. I would have no problem with a "two-shipments/month" option being ADDED, but a one per month option really should be one per month...

I'm still looking at close to $200.00 in July, and that's after over $100.00 in June. I love you Paizo, but yer killin me. :-(

I am reading this as there will be an early and late July shipment. So my guess would be we see May go out next week and then June go out about a week earlier next month. Then you have a shipment that goes out the end of June for delivery in early July and one that goes out the end of July.

Agreed. Although I think it is a glitch. I'm ok with the large cost of the month (not sure where people are seeing $200 though, as mine is only getting to about $125 pre-shipping) as the past few months have been quite like comparatively. Notice that the My Subscriptions page isn't taking account any discounts (15% for non-AP if AP subscriber, and 30% for AP).

There are 3 Gamemastery Items you are not getting because you are not a subscriber to GameMastery.

chronicles, companion, role playing game, modules, and AP subsciptions is what got me to 165.00 before shipping. I can see someone with some of the other subscriptions getting it to 200.00.

Lets face it, we did have a very light 1st part of the year. There were some months I only paid 35-40 dollars.

As I have a wife who has expectations of said agreement I went into with her, I am sure that that this will be the deal breaker with her.

Here's a suggestion: Make a July shipment with all but the Serpent's Skull book. Then in August, ship it out then. If it's because you are wanting to debut it at GenCon, offer a deal that you can pick up your copy at GenCon or wait for it to ship in August. For those not going to GenCon, they get the item shipped normally during August.

This way you can still unveil your new product at GenCon and have choices for the people who are on the subscription as well.

So, I would say that if this can't be fixed by June, I'll have to cancel my subscription. I know it may not be a lot of money per month compared to others, but we have a budget in my house that I can't afford to break. The economic and spousal repercussions are just to great to ignore.

Yeah, that would do it. Still not that bad considering all the light months this last year.

Paizo Employee Director of Sales

Ok folks...

Now that the changes we have instituted on your My Subscriptions page have been rolled out, I can explain what you're seeing, how these shipments will go down, and why. You can also see what I'm talking about on our Product Schedule.

First of all, is the "why".

The biggest monkeywrench in the the system is Gen Con. We will be releasing all of our August releases at Gen Con and Gen Con is the very first weekend of August. As a rule, we always ensure that we send out subscriber copies of our books at the same time we send them out to distribution. We want to make sure that subscribers' books show up in your mailbox on or about the same time they show up on stores' shelves. Therefore we will be shipping these books the week before Gen Con, which means at the end of July. However, after Gen Con, our next shipment isn't until the September shipment, in mid-September.

Let's take a closer look: If you look at the page right now, you will see a shipment pending for this month. This shipment will have already been authorized and be going out sometime tomorrow or early next week. This shipment will have Pathfinder #33 and other books coming out this month.

The next shipment you see is listed in mid-June. This shipment, the "June Shipment", will contain Pathfinder #34, as well as the "Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: GameMastery Guide" and the other June releases. We expect to be shipping this shipment out about 5 weeks from now, which is on or around the 18th. Please keep in mind that any dates I'm giving here are "best estimates" only, and NOT concrete or a guarantee.

Three weeks after this, on or around July 9th, we will be shipping out the "July Shipment". This shipment will contain Pathfinder AP #35, as well as the other items listed on our Product Schedule as being released in "early July".

Three weeks after that, which is on or around July 30th, we will be shipping out the second shipment within the calendar month of July. This will be the "August shipment", which was been moved up to coincide with the beginning of Gen Con. These are items listed on our Product Schedule as being released in "late July". Since all of our August releases will be shipped at this time, we have no scheduled subscription shipment within the calendar month of August.

This means that after three shipments each three weeks apart from one another, there will not be another shipment for around seven weeks. The September shipment will probably occur sometime around mid-September.

thanks,
cos

Paizo Employee CEO

The late July shipment is really the August shipment. We would normally ship it during the first week of August. However, that is when GenCon is, so we have to ship it out a week earlier so that subscribers can get their August shipment at the same time that people at GenCon get it. The July shipment should ship out near the beginning of July, so there should be at least two if not three weeks between those shipments. Basically, the early GenCon really screws up the shipping schedule for us, forcing that late July shipment instead of a week later in the first week of August.

Vic wanted me to let everyone know that we are working on a plan to allow subscribers to pick up their August shipment at GenCon. It isn't 100% that we will be able to get the coding done in time, though Vic says that it is highly likely.

I hope this clears things up a little bit.

OK, since there are two July shipments, can we combine them into one big box and save on shipping ? Oversea Paizonians are going to be killed by two shipments in a month :(

I think all pdfs should be sent to me now to avoid confusion down the road. Yep. Best course of action.

Why German? I say we use a dead language, or get Gary to encrypt them.

Awesome Cos (and Lisa). That's not so bad, and makes sense too.

To be clear, Pathfinders #36 and #37 are shipping in the same shipment at the end of July, right?

If I were to have a sudden loss of good sense and not want to continue subscribing to Pathfinder after the conclusion of Kingmaker, what window would I have to cancel my subscription after Thousand Screams but before Shiv?

My understanding of the system is that I then have all of August (and most of September, it seems) to resubscribe and get #37 as its own shipment. True?

I would prefer to have all of those shipments come together all at the end of July in one shipment. I'm in the land of Oz and prefer not to have all my moneys eaten by seperate shipping costs. Is there any way to make that happen?

why not? if you go over the amount of the card, you'll get an email saying the payment wasn't authorized. Then you can wait a week til august, put money on the card, and call/email customer service to ask Cos and Sara to try again... might take a few days, seeing that its GenCon week so they'll be on skeleton crew, but its defiantly works
