Discussion thread, where I want all dice rolls, is: here

Character creation

  • 20 Point Buy
  • Full HP at 1st Level
  • Gold is to be rolled
  • Character classes from the Core Rulebook and APG beta are permitted
  • Two traits from the web enhancement

All characters hail from the village of Kassen (more detail to follow in the discussion thread). Any further character creation questions may be asked here, otherwise please use the discussion thread.

are you creating a new play by post campaign.... i have recently ben re-introduced to the rp world and play rl pathfinder campaign and would b intrested in joining a pbp game
i am still relatively new to the concept and have not set up a char yet (not really sure where to set one up but would appreciate a shot at a campaign....

my interests are generally as.....
human fighter or paladin

I would be very much interested in playing. I would probably go for an arcane caster, probably a wizard, or a rogue/historian type character.

Don't have anything put together yet, but if I make the cut I can throw a character together quickly.

Thanks for the opportunity!

Just to expand a little, I'm looking for applications with characters. Sheets aren't required, but what I would be looking for would be:

  • Name
  • Race/Class
  • Alignment
  • Personality
  • Description
  • Background
These can be as long or as short as you want. I'll probably look to recruit the four characters I'll accept by next weekend.

Ok I'll try for a slot with:

Dahrehn Zeldana

Human Alchemist

Chaotic Good (not that he's really all that chaotic, just perhaps a bit touched in the head from all of his alchemical experimentation.)

Personality: A friendly, but somewhat irresponsable man. Upon meeting someone for the first time is almost trusting to a fault, but if that trust is broken can hold quite a grudge.

Description: A tall, gangley man with unkempt brown hair and a bit of crazed look in his eye. Dressed in clean but disheveled clothing.

Background: No one is really sure when Dahrehn came into Kassen, or for that matter even why. He just showed up one day. The townsfolk think of "Crazy Dahrehn" as a odd creature, but harmless. In fact he has been helpful on occassion by brewing the occasionaly healing potion for the townsfolk if asked.

Nostrus: If I make the cut I can have a profile/character sheet together for Dahrehn fairly quickly.

Thanks!

EDIT: Nostrus, would you by chance be allowing items from the Adveturer's Armory? There are some neat alchemical items in there that I would be interested in. If not, no big deal.

Unfortunately, at the moment, no. I don't have access to it yet, although I'll try and remedy that as soon as possible and then it'll be fair game.

I would also like to try my hand in this endeavor!

Spoiler:
Usul Rockbender
Half-Orc Druid
True Neutral
Judgmental, stand-offish, blunt

The large, coarse mixed breed concerns himself little with the affairs of individuals but rather a community as a whole. The tinkering of man is recognized by him as a paradoxical part of nature, but occasionally the tinkering can go too far. To this end, Usul keeps himself relatively isolated from large bodies of people lest he become assimilated into an extremist body without knowing it; this isolation makes him seem curt and brash to many others, though he means nothing personal by his comments most of the time.

As far as geography: Kassen of Nirmanthas? I'm thinking it would make sense if Usul then came from the Hold of Beltzen then as an orphaned child, though perhaps raised not right in Kassen itself; he is a druid, after all.

RPG Superstar 2009 Top 16

Considering either human Fighter or Bard if you'll have me.

Reckless wild adventuresome type, focused on making themeselves famous, far deeper a person than the surface would indicate.

This is Krek, posting with the Alias of my character-to-be in your campaign. Tell me what you think!

human paladin named Karlott the wise

discription: a large human male with dark hair and eyes he carries a sword and shield and wears a morning star at his waist.

personality: karlott is a trusting man and chooses to look for the good in his fellow man but is weary of all that are not of human origin, but is willing to overlook that for the greater good of the group and the completion of his goals. he does not offer religion but willcounsil those who ask.

backround: his order is of those who believe that the actions of man that are just, helps secure their spot with the gods. desparate to prove that he is worthy has set out to seek evil in the world to cleanse in the name of his order and will travel with anyone who will help him in his quest. Karlott prays to the god Iomedae. nad has traveled from the lands to the north to seek evil to destroy.

char sheet can b drawn up quickly if i am needed for this campaign.

sorry for the second post but just incase you need me to say it karlott is Lawful Good due to the nature of his class

Nostrus,

Would you be willing to allow the Strong Arm, Supple Wrist trait from the Qadira book?

What the trait does is the following:

Whenever you move at least 10 feet before making an attack with a thrown weapon, you add 10 feet to the range increment of the weapon thrown. Only usable once per round.

Thanks,

Talomyr a.k.a. Dahrhen

Barias

Tall handsome human fighter, very well muscled. Has made a bit of a name forhimself with his skill at combat. A bit of a quick mind for a warrior but definitely seeks some great destiny that he believes will come at the end of a blade.

Carries a Greatsword he inherited from his father, a hero in the town. As such he has big shoes to fill. Something that drives him is the desire not to dissappoint or disgrace his father's memory.

Grand Lodge

Should have posted this here sooner. I'm submitting a human sorcerer.

This group's gonna be casteriffic

Here's Joram. Let me know what you think.

Nostros,

Are you still recruiting? My friend Brian and I play and DM on another play by post site, and weve decided to leave it due to the fact they wouldnt swap over to pathfinder. I'm going to be starting my own campaign in the meantime, a homebrew, and would gladly return DM to give you something to play in opposite of your game.

I can't speak for Brian indefinately, but I assume he'd play a caster. I like melee/magic builds myself, though not in the distasteful min/max munchkiny sortve way. That said, I'll probably leave that route since I have an eldritch knight in my live game. I might try something new to me in pathfinder, either a rogue or a sorceror.

Thanks for the time.

Ken

Grand Lodge

If you are still recruiting, here's a Bard to have alook at. Currently set up as a second level character, but will be able to come down a level. Will have him take a couple of levels in Cleric if there isn't enough healing in the party.

If you want him in your game just let me know.

Just to let folks know, I am still accepting applications for this game and I'll make a decision on the four successful applicants this weekend.

I will be throwing a human monk in the mix for the game, I will be updating this profile as I go.[list]

  • Name: Rakzal Teerim
  • Race/Class: Human Monk
  • Alignment: Lawful good
  • Personality: Much like the deity that his monastery is dedicated to Rakzal has an apreciation for drink and a need to fight tyranny, he serves justice, freedom and at times a stout Ale.
  • Description: ht:6ft Wt:200lbs Hair:Long, black and kept in braids, at the tip of the braids woven into the hair are fist sized rocks, the rocks are smoothed to a perfectly flat surface. His skin is a deep tan as the majority of his training has been done outdoors.
  • Background: Rakzal was orphaned as a child and left on the steps of a the closest monestary, it just so happend to be of Cayden Caileen, He grew up learning the a technique founded by the head of the monestary, called the stone braid. which concists of Braiding large stones into you hair and using them for defense and offense. The technique is hard earned, but as he has mastered the intial training he has been sent into the world to go do the works of Cayden. [list]

  • Crypt of the Everflame starts out as a coming of age ceremony right? So what would the apropriate age be for a self-centerd git of a lazy-good-for-nothing human bard be?
Also, can you tell me in what country the town is? So as to better select an ethnic backgound? Am thinking the bastad child of a Varisian Entertainer/Thief and a local cuty with not so much brain power.
    What I'm thinking:
    * Name - Silvus Krupt
    * Race/Class - Human/Bard
    * Alignment - CG, Cayden Cailen (fair-pay for fair-work but party in the mean time)
    * Personality - Silvus is'nt realy looking to do any hard work. He finds life at the pub quite plesant, getting paid to tell storys and the ocational con or friendly card game. He likes to keep people at a certain distance, always afraid to be rejected or backstabbed, he puts up a friendly face and is always ready to tell a joke or cheer folk up but never realy talks about his father or mother.
    * Description - A fair young man, Silvus is of medium heigt and build with light-grey eyes and a full head of sandy, uncempt hair. Prefering loose fitting clothing of bright color such as yellow or red, his shirt is usually buttond down and he chews a straw between his perfect, pearly-white teeth.
    * Background - Born to a blue-eyed local serving girl who fell for the charms of a wicked and filthy varisian vagabond (by his grandparents decree), Silvus was the result of one night of passion. His mother remembered his father fondly and named Silvus with what she thought sounded like a proper varisian name, still secretly hoping his father will return to her. Never realy accepted at home by his grandparents, Silvus more or less grew up in the pub, around song and dance and general merry-making. He was forced by his grandfather to participate in martial training but never realy took to anything that smelled the least of responsibility, he wiews this ceremony as an inconveniance to his general slacking and skirt chasing, somthing best done quickly and without pomp.

    Silvus at a glance.

Edit: will finish him up if he makes the cut.

    Nostrus,

Please remove Dahrhen from consideration. Have fun with the game.

    sooo...
    any news?

Looks like had imprisonment cast on him.
