sorry Treppa but some of us going this year are Con Virgins and we want/need that cherry popped. At least it is at a small intimate con who cares for us and not one that has so much experience that it is almost the regional bicycle on which everyone has gotten their ride.

I just realized that I have a lot of road tripping in my future. I don't care about the distance but I have a cousin in the suburbs of Houston, so I can meet Houston Baby's Daddy, on the way to visit him. Then I can make drive out to your area M and hang out. My goal to meet all the FAWTLy members in person.

I think you could meet a lot of us on an I-70 trip. I think it hits Colorado, Kansas, here, Ohio, etc.

Umm when I guy posts that he is one of the smartest people on the boards, and then another poster tries to post how smart he is in comparison, I just back away. That discussion is bound to go nowhere. F#&~ I have a masters degree in Psychology. And I don't think I'm smart, I just think I have follow through. I mean seriously some guy is going to say he is one of the smartest people on the boards after I've gotten to know some of you guys. He has no clue whatsoever.

I forgot to add we will all make it to the con at the same time eventually.

I've only been to GenCon one time, and that was enough for cons. I find large conventions less intimidating than small ones because I'm so danged shy. A place where everyone knows my name is downright scary. Give me the uncaring anonymity of a huge Con any day.

Treppa you, Studpuffin and Crimson Jester are probably within a weekend drive distance from me. I know because I have driven to St. Louis before and CrimJ's area isn't that long of a drive for me. remember that I drove 21 hours just to get to Myrtle Beach. I am crazy

I am shy also but to the other end. I have to know somebody where I am going. I think I have a mild variety of Social Phobia called Avoident Personality Disorder. Meaning, if I don't know anyone/anybody I avoid the area all together or when I get there I run away. So I will take the small con.

I could swear that we've driven through (or around) Des Moines, but looking at the map, it makes no sense. We regularly go through Iowa to Dubuque, but Des Moines is way too far out of the way for a stopover. I must have been thinking of Iowa City as the larger one we circle on the way. You're right, though, we're not that far.

Hnh. Afternoon. Not a good one. At least not for me. Hnh.

Day started off well enough- I was supposed to be selling Kaze(read: my bike) today to my coworker- and I was mortified because due to circumstances beyond my control(read: my own stupidity) I was bilked out of 13 bucks for a pair of inner tubes that work fine for bikes in Taiwan, not America. So I take the wheels off the bike and decide to walk with them to work to show good faith in that I'm working on the bike and to switch out one of the inner tubes with one that my friend's mom miraculously found in the basement when her husband(read: a wonderful man who I am proud to say I had the priviledge of knowing) passed away and she was cleaning up stuff. So I get on the bus to get to work early(read: doubly mortified that I am not walking to work yet another day) so I can use the gas station across the street's air machine. A few minutes and bing bang boom pow- I have exactly one functional wheel for a bike. I put some air in the inner tube for the other(read: semi-functional) tire just in case it was simple disuse that lead to air leaking out. I go in to work and run into the secretary only to discover that due to money flow problems she CANNOT buy the bike. I try to hide my dismay at this and start to go back to my office dejected when my boss shows up and starts going on and on(read: AND ON) about my failure to purchase water last week when getting supplies. I mention that he gave me less money than normal and that I got everything I could with the funds he gave me- tough economic times and our dollars just are not stretching as much as they used to. He became literally hopping mad over this, which disturbed me and gave everyone around him quite a show. He then excused himself(although not his actions) and went into his office. I stood there for a while, waiting for him to come back out, and then went back to my own office, scratching my head.

Well, when I put it all down on electronic paper, it doesn't seem like much, but it really pushed my buttons and sent the early part of my day into the crapper. Here's hoping things turn around post meridian.

You live in New York. There is but one or two places where you could honestly say it could be worse. LA is one of them and the other is San Francisco.

Hey CJ do you think it's time for me to come up with another long ridiculous, partially offensive conspiracy ramble to hopefully kill a few of the political threads?

Given that 90% of us are aliases or sockpuppets of Heathy, that shouldn't be too hard.

Well, except for the fact that you've got to somehow get into his armored compound in Texas. I hear that the security system consists of a loop of Stephen Hawking's computer reading Heathy's posts at random. Most people last 34.2 seconds before being driven completely insane.

Ok 2 threads have been bombed by my ramblings, the congressional district thread, and the Laura Bush Healthcare Thread. Need to take a minute to think up more stuff.

Damn, my insane ramblings about "getting off the grid" and not trusting public officials, and weirdo conspiracy theories hasn't stopped the politics. Instead it seemed to spawn another thread "Getting off the Grid".

Whew. Most of us FaWTLys are already insane or teetering over the abyss, so we'd be immune. Woody's probably only a hop, skip, and a poodle hump from looney-tunes-land.

I think just living in Garland is enough to protect Heathy, and all the rest are rumors. No one can actually be found in Garland.
