My collective principles and standards of fairness, honesty, and the significance of my students education is based on a set of core values and beliefs that I endeavor to dedicate myself to. The Code of Ethics holds me responsible for the safety and education of any and all students entrusted to me. By upholding these standards I am able to build a reputation as a trustworthy educator and a person of great integrity. Teachers should be able to be trusted, by students and parents alike. With the decision to become a teacher comes a sense of greatness, and with this great responsibility. Teachers, like police officers are in a position of power. To take advantage of such a situation is abhorrent. The students entrusted to us are precious, as is their future and education.
Standard and Principle 1: Commitment to the Student
My purpose is to achieve the belief of all the students that are entrusted to me with. I have an obligation to my students that, when fulfilled, builds a safe and welcome environment for my students. When in an environment that the students feel safe in they are more readily capable of learning. In my endeavor to succeed in this commitment to my students it is up to me to;
1. Regard all students impartially, honestly and with respect.
2. Maintain an open door policy in with every student and in any situation.
3. Make available, to the best of my ability, the best education I have to offer.
4. Afford and encourage a variety of programs to meets my student’s needs, such as tutoring programs, hands on activities and educational field trips.
5. Uphold the trust of my students, and their families (unless it strictly violates the law).
6. Maintain that all physical contact within my classroom be done with the greatest of respect to one’s person.
Principle and Standard II: Commitment to the Profession
Being a professional means behaving and living professionally. Taking my chosen career sincerely and not defaming the status of being an educator is as important as educating itself. A teacher should be honest in all that they do. Teachers should uphold the laws, and encourage those that she keeps company with to do so as well. In my endeavor to succeed in this commitment to my profession it is up to me to;
7. Not falsify information regarding my credentials in the hopes of obtaining a teaching post.
8. Behave accordingly at all times, keeping in mind that I am a role model even outside the classroom.
9. Not defame or tell untruths in regards to colleagues, in the hopes of helping maintain a comfortable and welcome workplace to the best of my ability.
10. Not falsify grades or attendance records for myself or students.
11. Keep myself in good health and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Keeping in mind that I am in contact with young children and other teachers daily.

Matt Droz suggested to get one patty of a Wendy's Spicy Chicken and then the other side an Arby's Swiss & Cheese Chicken, toss in the sauce and some bacon. Half tempted.
