I recently went through the 3.5 Monster Manual and pulled out a list of the creatures that did not make it into the first Bestiary. Although all of these creatures may not make it into Bestiary II most of them probably will so, for me at least, this list is kind of a preview of what's to come and I thought I would share.

Achaierai
Allip
Aranea
Arrowhawk
Athach
Azer
Belker
Blink Dog
Bodak
Chaos Beast
Delver
Destrachan
Hellcat
Digester
Dire Badger
Dire Weasel
Dragonne
Aquatic Elf
Ethereal Filcher
Ethereal Marauder
Formian Worker
Formian Warrior
Formian Taskmaster
Formian Myrmarch
Formian Queen
Frost Worm
Grey Render
Grick
Grimlock (Does the Morlock take the place of the Grimlock?)
Avoral "Guardinal"
Leonal "Guardinal"
Annis Hag
Hippogriff
Howler
Kolyarut Inevitable
Marut Inevitable
Zelekhut Inevitable
Krenshar
Lammasu
Locathah
Werebear
Wereboar
Weretiger
Magmin
Water Naga
Nightcrawler Nightshade
Nightwalker Nightshade
Nightwing Nightshade
Owl, Giant
Phantom Fungus
Phasm
Rast
Ravid
Sea Cat
Shadow Mastiff
Androsphinx
Criosphinx
Hieracosphinx
Spider Eater
Grig
Nixie
Locust Swarm
Tendriculos
Thoqqua
Titan
Tojanida
Trition
Yrthak
Baboon
Badger
Camel
Manta Ray
Baleen Whale
Cachlot Whale
Giant Bee

A few of the above creatures appear in the Bonus Bestiary but I went ahead and included them anyway. Also I removed those monsters that are not open content. I also did not include creatures from the MM that are considered player races and thus will not appear in a Bestiary or creatures with templates added to them. The only creature I felt unsure about was the Abyssal Basilisk. I'm not sure if it counts as a sperate creature or an advanced creature. Enjoy

Sovereign Court

I think one of the ways to figure out what goes in is to look at the artwork over the next year, especially for the PF Society PDF covers. I noticed the really awesome Achaierai illustration in CoT #4 so I expect to see that used again.

Dark Archive

Per Cooper's Corrected Creature Codex (A to C), the abyssal basilisk is just a maximum size (18 HD) basilisk with the fiendish template added.

I'm sure on another thread it was stated that the Nightshade is definitely in Bestiary 2.

Mosters I'd like to see (since you are all holding your breaths to find out) with my favs in bold (cuz they're my favs and your life will be better for knowing my favorites):

Hellcat
Formians
Grick
Grimlock
Guardinal
Annis Hag
Hippogriff
Howler
Lammasu
Locathah
Night Crawlers

More than anything I look forward to having original monsters from the various APs compiled in the new Bestiary.

James jacobs commented on Ogrekin making an appearance in Bestiary II and many others will probably be included too.

I would like to see the Mother of Oblivion and the Rune Giants.

Just an FYI...

Lammasu, Annis Hag and Shadow Mastiff were in Bonus Bestiary and thus are available on d20pfsrd.com.

We're actively converting others, both from the Tome of Horrors books and elsewhere, for anyone interested.

As an aside, if anyone would like to help convert these monsters we could use more help. Email me if you can help. Google Wave invites given as thanks for assistance too, in case that helps :)

+1 for Rune Giants

Bonus Bestiary is here. It also has the Allip, Dragonne and Nixie.

A VERY large number of the monsters posted by the OP will be in Bestiary II. Not all of them, but most of them. And in the meantime, a lot of them will be "previewed" by appearing in Pathfinder Adventure Paths or modules.

By the way, any idea when the "Tojanidas of Golarion" 256-page hardcover is coming out?

I have always liked many of the ones that did not make. There was a thread to suggest monsters for the 2nd Bestiary, but now I can't find it.

That is bound to be a best seller.

The badgers meanwhile have been lamenting the absence of aarakocra for years. (But those might not be fair game?)

I'd like to see all the creatures mentioned in The Great Beyond (other than Archdevils, Archdemons, Archdaemons and Archangels), such as:
Umbral Dragons, Brine Drakes and all other varieties of Dragons and creatures akin;
Jyoti and Sceaduinar;
Daemons of all kinds;
Inevitables;
Formians;
Proteans of all kinds;
Agathions (hoping that they remain limited to Leonal, Vulpinal, Avoral, Lupinal and some other "cool" animal, like tigers, but not things that go towards the ridiculous as rat/horse/whale/goat/whatever-like Celestials).

I'd like to see a bunch of new inevitables including one that could be used as a PC race.

I think the Bestiary II needs things with really scary pictures for you to show your players ;-)

I'd like to see some of the other Kytons that were mentioned in Bestiary 1.

James Jacobs pretty much indicated they would be in bestiary 2 since bestiary one was the extreme alignments outsiders, Formians and Inevitables as well. As far as the Umbral Dragon goes, 3.5 stats are in PF Adventure path volume 11 Skeletons of Scarwall.

As far as the agathions go maybe we could see bat or dinosaur agathions, also lupinal is I believe wizards IP but the concept could still work Lycaenal as the name perhaps.

I was thrilled to see Quickings in a Pathfinder Society mod. I'd love to see more 1st and 2nd ed monsters that have fallen by the wayside get a new coat of paint.

Jermalaines! I'm a fan of the old 1st ed. Fiend Folio monsters.

Oh, I'm gonna say there WILL be hippogriffs.

Yes, there will.

I've always loved the beast, even if it doesn't have the best name.

I'd like to see the Babbler!

It has a perfectly fine name, if you ignore the fact that it combines a Greek prefix with a Latin suffix.

Oh, I've never been super-crazy about the sound, either, but it's okay.

How about Half-fiend hippopototaur?

Also, are advanced versions of creatures going to be in it? I just noticed there is no advanced stone golem in the first book.

Or are there plans for a separate book with those kinds of templated and advanced monsters?

hard to adjust to the fact they aren't devils anymore, but I like it well enough. :) In fact adds a lot more interest to them I think.

Nope. Stats for advanced creatures belong in adventures or supplements, not bestiaries. It's much better to use the space taken up by an advanced monster to present a NEW monster in the needed CR spot.

There's a new Kyton showing up in Pathfinder #30, I believe.

Wouldn't you just ad the Advanced template? Or maybe the Advanced and Giant templates to really pump it up?

Some one mentioned rune giants. Would they be new creatures, or should there be some type of Runic Template. I think a template where their power comes from the runes on them = awesomeness. Like a tattooed monk,

truthfully I'd like to see rune giants as their own race, BUT I also would like to see a Runic template as well... :)

Rune Giants are an existing type of Giant first detailed in Pathfinder #6. CR 14 Gargantuan-sized warriors that can command lesser giants as well as using several rune-derived magic powers.

I love Kytons, and love what PF did for them. Finally separating them from the rest of the devils. I'd love to see more, especially more powerful ones. ;)

I would be perfectly happy if all Paizo did was update and consolidate the monsters from their earlier Pathfinder products. They have introduced over 200 new monsters and they all are very good.

Some sort of pliosaur/mosasaur type creature would be great, as would the whales (baleen and cachalot). Some updated AP stuff as well, more dragons, and maybe the movanic and monadic devas from Tome of Horrors.
