Planetouched already stated for Pathfinder Core Rules?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I know we got a preview of the Tiefling but has the Aasimar been official stated? What about the Genasi, Axani, and Cansin.

I also see that the Pathfinder Wiki has a pic of an Aasimar:

Does this mean the Aasimar has been stated as well as the Tiefling? If so, in what book?

Probably the upcoming Bestiary

Didn't it show up in the Bonus Bestiary's preview list of the Bestiary? I don't have my books with me right now.

As far as I know, there are two bestiary previews but I can't seem to find any stats for the Aasimar, Genasi, Axani, or Cansin. I just see the Tiefling stated.

Gensai are closed. Don't remember the other two.

The aasimar is mentioned in the Bonus Beastiary apart of the list of monsters that appear in it and the Beastiary. The Axani and Cansi were either from the MM2, Fiend Folio, or a Dragon Magazine article though I can't remember which. Essentially lawful and chaotic planetouched respectiviley.

Genasi are closed, but there will still be a planetouched race that's got the bood of genies in them don't you worry!

Well there is the Suli from the "Quadira: Gateway to the East" companion book.

The word axani meaning "laws" or "lawful ones" derives from an essay titled Ósanwe-kenta by J.R.R. Tolkien (writing as Pengolodh), so WotC has no exclusive claim to it. Paizo (or anyone else) are just as free to use it as WotC is.

That passage of time did not diminish the relevance of Mairkurion's unanswered [implied] question regarding the OGL status of axani and cansin, so I answered the portion that I know.

Be careful of the Pharasman inquisitors, thread necromancy is a forbidden art in these parts.

RISE FROM YOUR GRAVE! I like the name Axani for a law based planetouched race though I would be happy whatever they call them as long as we get one from Paizo.

I'm pretty sure devils are covered by Tieflings, and Archons and Angels are both covered by different Aasimar heritages which covers the three main lawful outsiders to touch our plane.

The Ganzi represent the chaotic neutral side of things which really leaves only True Neutral outsiders not being represented.

At this point, we have aasimar for all good outsiders, tieflings for all evil outsiders, and ganzi for chaotic neutral outsiders. There are also genie-kin, fetchlings, and a couple of others that don't really fit into the alignment grid.

The only remaining holes are for lawful neutral and true neutral. I suspect that Paizo will only fill them in when they have what they consider a nifty idea for them -- they won't fill in these holes just because they exist.

Angels are NG (or rather, can be any G but are usually NG), archons are LG and devils/kytons are LE.

That definitely leaves LN open.

And if you want to get technical, Shadow is a neutral plane, so you could stick Fetchlings in the NN spot if you want (though realistically they don't really fit anywhere, like the elemental-kin and geniekin races).

Bear in mind, Paizo's cosmology does not presume some sort of perfect balance.
