Awesome. I am working for True Dungeon this year, but I plan on spending a lot of my off time at the Paizo booth. I really hated missing Paizo Con, even more so after hearing about all the fun that was had. We'll have to see how everyone's timelines match up and get some group hang out time. I hope more people read this tread this weekend.

I offered to help out Josh with any PFS stuff if he needs an extra hand. I haven't seen a response from him yet. Adam Daigle and Tim Hitchcock are doing some kind of interactive on Friday/Saturday night and I may be helping them with some of that.

Sure. Just pop into the exhibition hall from time to time. I'll probably swing by Paizo's booth a thousand times while I'm there.
...I was in Charlotte last month for Hero's Con and didn't even think to get a hold of you. Did you go?
Sadly, I have never been to that event. It always seems to coincide with something else I've usually got going on.
This year, for instance, I had just got back from PaizoCon and my wife and I were still preparing for the arrival of our third child. It takes a lot to get the house ready for having a newborn around again. Plus, I was using a lot of that time for writing FQ.
Last year, I think it got bumped by another local convention a friend of mine puts on called ConCarolinas. I was a gaming guest, so I had to be there for that. But maybe some year I'll find my way to HeroesCon.

GenCon is my hometown convention, so I'll definitely be there, and I'd love to meet anyone who attends. I'll mostly be running StoryCards events or trying out indie games in the Games On Demand area, but breakfast on Sunday would work great for me.
I'd love to meet you at some point while I'm there, Carl. We should wear t-shirts announcing our love for a certain Legendsinger so we can find each other on the convention floor. :-)
Actually, the easiest way to find me is probably to just hang around the Paizo booth or some other easily recognizable and convenient location we'll both know. If we check in at that location periodically, we're bound to cross paths. That's what I've done in the past, at least.

I was thinking maybe getting together for breakfast on Sunday.
Did you have a place in mind for breakfast? There's a place called Patachou in the Simon building, just across the street from the convention center. It's not cheap, but it's reasonable (and tasty), and they open at 8am on Sunday.
I'll swing by the Paizo booth at least once, but I don't know when.

Can you make it to breakfast on Sunday? I don't actually know when I'm going to be on the convention floor: I'm squeezing it in between games and seminars.
Looks like I have a couple of slots open in my Thursday night StoryCards session if anyone's interested. :)

Depending on how late I'm up on Saturday night, I may or may not make an 8AM gathering for Sunday breakfast.
Also, I was kind of hoping to meet up a bit earlier during the convention than the last day. My flight leaves at 3PM, so I'll have to leave shortly after lunch on Sunday...which means I'll need to be packed and ready to go. And I'll want to make one last swing through the exhibitor's hall to say goodbye to a few friends and take advantage of "last day" deals.
I say all that simply to indicate I may be a bit time-compressed on Sunday. But, if I'm up and about at 8AM, I'll certainly try to find my way there.

We probably ought to describe ourselves so we can find each other. I like Neil's idea of wearing an "I <heart> Sharina" shirt, but I'd guess you wouldn't all go for that. :)
I'm 6'2", more or less blond, and I'll be wearing a white Dogtown Games polo shirt throughout the convention. The logo can be seen here.
See you Sunday, if not earlier. I'll be stopping by the Paizo booth sometime to pick up a Pathfinder book at the very least.

Sorry I missed you guys. I was up late on Saturday night and overslept Sunday morning, so I couldn't make the breakfast gathering. I also spent much of the con sequestered in my hotel room working on Fellnight Queen, except for brief excursions to the exhibitor's hall, a few Paizo seminars, and dinners with friends. With three young kids at home, I must say that GenCon was some of the most peaceful time I've had in awhile. :-)

Understood. Plans to meet at GenCon on any morning tend to be overly optimistic. Joel and I had a good breakfast, but if anyone else made it, we didn't recognize them. I asked around the Pathfinder Society room and the Paizo booth later, but never ran into you or Matt.
On the plus side, it's pretty nifty to see Fellnight Queen in the Pathfinder catalog! Woohoo!

I never even saw this thread til today, but it's a moot point cuz I wasn't at GenCon anyway! My travel budget is pretty well burnt this year. Still, I had a great time meeting Neil (and many other Superstar folks) at PaizoCon and hope I can meet yet more Superstars next year (including another new crop from this year's upcoming contest!).

Working for TD was great, mostly because of the people. It takes up a lot of your time though. They paid for my badge and hotel, so that was awesome. I'm up in the air about doing it agian next year. I had a blast but didn't get to do much outside of TD stuff. So it's a win/lose situation. I'm thinking of getting a booth next year to sell art prints.
