The art alone looks like it will make buying the Bestiary worth it.
On another note, though, while I love the Lillend picture, I do have to wonder what the point of the top is. It says less about Paizo and more about modern society, though. Nipples are to be avoided at all costs, but putting dime-sized cover-ups makes the picture okay. American society leaves me scratching my head sometimes.

I look at it slightly differently. The dime sized saucers and chain accentuate and decorate, not obfuscate.

Very simple to understand. Bloodshed, murder and violence are perfectly acceptable in heavy doses. But whatever you do DON'T show a nipple cause that would be sinful!

That's a Brassiere of Protection +4!

chainmail rules give her about +6 of deflection... will be +8 without them... ask Red Sonaj or Conan... the theorem works!

It's clearly a "Glory born" Mithral Chainshirt...

I really hope that the Paizo guys aren't cherry picking the art, and putting up the really spectacular ones. That would mean this represents an average of the artwork, and that would be terrific.
So far, the art, to me at least, completely blows away the art I've been seeing in WoTC's most recent books (and the few bits of 4E I bothered looking at before I gave up on it).
The old 3E books had good art in them, then the 3.5 books bested that. But as time went on, it seemed that a lot of art got reused in the splatbooks and environment books and such, and then the new artwork seemed to take a dip in quality.
So far, the artwork previewed by Paizo is very stylish and distinctive. I prefer it to the older WoTC art. Then again, it has a certain anime flare to it without being over the top. I like that mix of western archtype with anime flavor.

Why does this make me think of Lodoss Wars?

Nice.
Seconding all the calls for aasimar, lillend, lantern archon and celestial charger.
The lillendi have been one of my favorite D&D creatures since Planescape. I am definitely happy to see them represented here.
Man I love that expression on her face.
On another note, though, while I love the Lillend picture, I do have to wonder what the point of the top is.
Ha, most of the lillendi in the Planescape material that I remember didn't even have tops.
All I know is that I want to write more about lillends now.
You better!
I know they're azata in Pathfinder, and that they've been considered outsiders since 3rd edition rolled around, but I'm probably still going to refluff some details like I have almost everything for 3rd edition: having lillendi and other planar races remaining planar beings, but not outsiders, keeping the Silent Hour, etc.
I'm betting Shelyn has a lot of these folks hanging around.

If we were cherry picking, we'd be a lot more hard-pressed to have the themes we're doing.
In any case, I would confirm that the art we're previewing = the average of the artwork. As in, the art in the book is REALLY GOOD!
Actually... we kind of are cherry picking; we're showing off the new art. The mix between new art and old art reprinted from other Paizo products over the last few years is, I believe, something like 60% new, 40% reprinted.

Well,
From what I have seen, the older artwork has much the same style, so I'm ok with that. I am glad that the 'cherry picking' is just an average selection of the new artwork. I'm very ok with that. Good job.

Nah. Fallen lillends = censors.

Did somebody say Lillends Gone Wild?
Argh! Nipples! Now I'm scarred for life and will have to sue you for showing me such a foul and offensive thing! Who do you think you are, Janet Jackson?
On a slightly serious note an NSFW warning would have been appreciated (even though it is fairly obvious from the topic). Some of us aren't paying that much attention at work.

If I were Janet they'd each be covered with Pelor's holy symbol. ;)

I would guess that if you have the type of employer that would let you view the original, this wouldn't be much of a stretch. But for all I know there's a 'no unchained Lillend nipples' sign as you enter work, so good thinking.

Lillends Gone Wild?
Still comes in second after the succubus in the 1st ed monster manual.
Now you kids get off my lawn.

I'm pretty sure that illustration caused me to instantly pass from prepubescence to adolescence.

Pulled down in its prime...
Censorship #%^$@! me off! ;)
The funny thing is that it was replaced by the Photobucket TOS violation graphic and was sitting in my personal gallery next to another tasteful nude illustration that somehow went unnoticed. (Translation: it was likely reported by someone who obviously was very offended by nipples, but not nipple-chains.)
