Honestly? The sad truth is I'll mostly just be putting the actual physical book up on a shelf unless or until I get another game up and running.
Now the PDF, that I'll be tearing apart six ways from Sunday and updating a whole bunch of NPCs I've had around in my games since 3.0. I'm not sure whether I'm more interested in seeing the final Classes chapter or the Feats one, but those'll be my two big areas of interest... as those are the two biggest changes from 3.5.

Read....Read.....and more Reading! I am running 5 games on the boards and all of them will be switching over to PFRPG so I need to learn as fast as I can. Classes will be the first thing to tackle I guess! Of course this will all take place after I get done with the happy dance that I finally got the book in my hands, NO more teases from Paizo, they're worse than the girls in highschool!

I'll first look it over from front to back, spending most of my time in the classes section (and skipping past the race section with the art I hate).
Then it's character conversion/creation time.
I got a paladin, a barbarian, and a duelist needing to be updated on my character side alone. Then I need to update my Occult Slayer as best as he is able (he is 3 hexblade/5 occult slayer among the rogue/barbarian bit so he's the least converted character since Pathfinder won't have that).
Then my wife will update her characters (so much for ladies first). She used to play a Rogue/Ninja Spy (from oriental adventures in 3rd edition) but with Pathfinder, she's open to possibly making her core pathfinder (or close to it since she plays a half elf half nymph). Maybe Rogue /shadowdancer if it stops sucking.
God I can't wait for this game.

Open and smell the shiny new book smellness. Then flick through it looking for anything juicy - anything that fires the imagination, be it a piece of art, a game mechanic, a cool table or a piece of fluff.
Then I'll probably put it aside for a day or so before starting a detailed read of each chapter in random order, one a day ish.

When you get your copy of the Pathfinder RPG, what's the first thing you're going to do? Crack it open to a particular section? Go page by page ooohhhing and aaaahhhhhing the artwork? Or start a list of every typo you find? For me, I'm flipping over to my favorite class: the wizard.
I will try hard to not let my tears fall on those pages, because, again, I didn't get an autographed book...

I'll spend about an hour or so just randomly looking through it, then start making characters - one of each class for each race. That's 77 times I'll need to flip through the first five (or so) chapters looking things up, which is (I've found) the best way for me to get my head around how it all works together.

Err..what else but put it on an altar and worship it for a couple of months...no seriously I have 2 dead tree copies coming one for me one for my players so I'll be getting a couple of PFS society Mods to run and introduce them to the way things have changed
and then come February I'll be running Kingmaker with them

When first my digits bear its heft, I'll marvel at the weight, and grunt in primordial pleasure, knowing that despite whatever you may have heard, bigger is indeed better.
Then I'll look at the cover, not just the art, but the way the light reflect off a nice quality-bound hardcover. The premonitions of a good read to come will be fever pitch at this point.
Then I'll open the book, and where normally I'd treat myself to a flip through to dazzle myself with the amazing art, I'll not do that... no, not for Pathfinder...
For Pathfinder I'll start at page one and start reading, allowing the experience of first page to last to be an epic, linear journey of its own. Here And Back Again, eat your heart out.
Oh, and then I'm going to lay it down gently in bed and make sweet love to it. I know it doesn't seem physically possible, but my unrepentant zeal will find a way, Oh yes it will indeed.

I'll probably get out a black marker, and wonder where to start first, because I'm a houserulin' maniac... and maybe I'll make one of those brown paper bag book covers, like we used to have to do in high school, to cover up all that WAR stuff.
And then I'll keep sending money to Paizo every month, because I'd keep buying their APs even if the core rules were based on obscure triginometric functions and were written in Urdu. See, I never really liked 3.0/3.5, and switched only because Paizo used those rules for Dungeon. Pathfinder is better than 3.5, and Paizo is still writing adventures, so on the whole, I win -- WAR cover and all.

I'm just hoping there is still a copy left by the time I get to Gen Con on saturday.

Convert the Heathens! You must carry out Paizo's Holy order and convert all unbelievers by the book or by the sword! ALL must join or perish!

Well, the book ought to be sufficient to mete out punishment. :)

~looks at the size of the book~ Oh yes. It is enough for the Paizoite Death Penalty!

First, I will caress it lovingly and whisper softly into the headcap. Then I will pour over every page, slowly, from front to back. Reverse and repeat. After a few times back and forth, I will stand it up so that the front is lit, but without glare, and stare at if for a few hours in deep contemplation.

I'll definitely start a thread b##~#ing about alignment.
THEN, it's either going to be a "clerics are too nerfed" or "clerics are too powerful" thread. I guess I'll have to fight a single cleric of each level against a CR equal opponent without randomly picking spells or anything like real-game simulation before I'm sure which way it's gonna be.
THEN, WHEN THAT'S DONE,
I'm going to do the fighter vs. wizard rigamarole, followed by a "bards suck like a hoover" flamewar.

And then, if I haven't been banned for a week, I think a "3P RULES! 4E DROOLS!!!" thread, in the actual 4E section, would be in order.

LOL. Brilliant way to put it.

I think that will get you banned.
Or us. I think I'll have to participate in that.
Will free my time to read the book.
I don't know what I'll do when I get the book. Probably read it cover to cover. Because I'll probably get it a week or so after the PDF.
As soon as I get the PDF, I'll tear through the sections that interest me the most. Classes->Races->Feats->Skills. In roughly that order. Then everything else.
Actually, I'll have to restrain myself from reading too much, because I'll probably get it during work hours. And I'll have to read the good parts taht evening, too, since our summer party is the day after (first summer party at this company for me, but I have it on good authority that the company knows how to party)

I'll lock myself in my bedroom build a pillow fort around me in the corner of my bed then crack open the sealing, open it somewhere in the middle and take a deep breath that new-book smell. 'cept for the fort and the locking that's my standard ritual when aquiring a new book, especially a long awaited one. After I'm done getting high on page printing fumes I will proceed reading it from start to end.
