Yeah, certain threads attract certain folks coming out of their designated areas to attempt to bate people with snippy comments.
I've been working on an idea for a thread to see if the discussion about it would be fruitful, but one reason I hold off is because I think it would be a magnet for this kind of action.

I've been avoiding the 4e boards, anything of note.
Also, as with the US, it's not a war if I don't unambiguosly win. We call those arguments "police operations".

And the threads I've noticed lately have been on the 3.5 forums and Gamer Life.
I think enough people have gotten yelled at for drive-by 4e bashing on the 4e boards that they know not to do it anymore.
And, with a few exceptions, most people know that 3.5/PF bashing anywhere on the boards is a bad idea.
