Okay, we can do it as a flashback when you get back. Since the Dalesman has limited posting time I don't want to keep him stuck here all day.
Not a problem, let me know when you're ready. I have three other posts I need to answer.
Ready whenever you are.

I'm gonna start a second post. One right after the leave Pete and head back towards the Oasis. One taht will involve you bumoing into a certian elven queen on this thread.

Okay, sure, no problem.

"I noticed you're a woman of refinement. I offer this beneficial trinket for sale."

Mililani gestures with her hand and displays a sapphire studded necklace, a chocker, if best described. The chocker itself is studded with a single blue sapphire in its center.

"It is a magical wonder and an item of song and the sea, manufactured by a lost sea-kingdom called Nimbral."

"Oh, it's beautiful. What exactly does it do?" Allura looks at the pendant admiringly.

She seems a touch chaotic, Berholm harrumphs, and obsessed with keeping to the spirit of an agreement rather than the exact letter, but I would prefer that over the most 'law abiding' baatezu who will stick you whilst keeping to the letter. I am prepared to rely on her to pass your goods on to me, and if there are any failings in deliveries I will review the situation. The shortage of stone-folk traders in these parts is unfortunate, but not something which can be easily remedied, and even a king must make do with what is to hand in a pinch.

I have arranged payment for her, separately. If you are happy with the arrangement, this he gestures at the electrum filled strongbox, is to cover however much of your finest ales you can send me for the next couple of months; if it is insufficient at any point, please send word to my stronghold, of Evsteirim as the taller folk know it - Uthaz Ydgraf in our own tongue - and I shall see that further funds are made available.
Whether or not you feel this place is dangerous enough to require an armed escort to the Countess' yard, I trust entirely to your judgement.

Nirellia is patient enough to step back and simply wait whilst other customers of Mililani are dealt with. She's good at waiting, and being unobtrusive in other people's realms, unless she's in a hurry.

"The amount of electrum is good and well enough. I never send out my employees unarmed or unguarded with magic. The goods will be delivered to the agreed location and without tampering. I will send word via a separate as how to deactivate the wards and anchors."

Berholm nods his approval, and signs to one of the strongbox attendants who hands over the key to MacGardun.
It is good to do with business with you, MacGardun.
He and his retinue leave the premises and head off through the bazaar.
Sorry about mixing the spelling up of MacGardun in one of the posts on the previous page!

Elsewhere, up in the northern lane of the bazaar, towards the citadel of the merchant-council, a skinny helf-elven waif, dirty and unkept in all his seven or eight years, eyes the pedestrians within it's central corridor. His target, a bread merchant, no less than fifty or sixty feet away. His belly empty for two days growls at him relentlessly. He thinks a loaf or two would make a good day's meal.

Two goblins walk down the street bickering at one another in their own language. Close to where the waif waits, one of them falls a little behind the other, takes out a much darned green and pink woollen sock which clinks, and whacks his companion across the back of the the head with the sock, sending the companion sprawling, and some of the copper coins used to 'load' the sock jingling across the cobbles.

Apparently unconcerned by the loss of this loose change, the remaining upright goblin tucks the sock and what currency remains in it away, picks his (now comatose) companion up under the arms, and drags him off into the shadows of an alley.

"I can't translate the author, but this reads as the Chronicles of the Dragonlance. Fascinating world really, bu too many dragons for my taste. There is something about a journal and a map. Something about the Elemental Plane of Water and a Palace of the Black Pearls. It's a chillingly gothic account. A group of adventurers stormed the lair of a sea-lich, and failed to destroy her."

...And that's a wrap for the night. Off to work and 8 hours of pure cleaning fun. We have corporate big wigs coming in tomorrow morning and everything needs to be spotless. I will continue tomorrow morning.

Morning All :)

Interesting choker, BluePigeon. New toys are always fun! ;)

I'm not gonna say what it does however. Thyat would take the fun out of it.

I'm off to bed after a long graveyard shift. I'll be up in seven to eight hours. Have fun.

They make their way back to the omniportal the spotted upon their arrival, and return to the Oasis.

*circles the thread, looking for some roadkill*

The young waif manages to steal past to notice of active commerce. Ducking under the baker's stand, he looks up at eye level, scans to the left, watches the merchant, scans to the right, then pull two long loaves of bread off the stand. As soon he turns to sprint, he hears outrage.

"Stop you little runt! Come back here with my goods!"

With his nickname outrageously yelled across the Bazaar. Tristan takes off as fast as his feet can carry him. He sprints in the general direction of a certain magic shop.

"What's the hurry, kid?" the old man mutters in confusion as a small waif clutching two loaves of bread scampers past.

Hmm. Apparently the coins dropped all over the place when the goblin attacked the other goblin went unnoticed by Tristran. <sigh>

Logging off for the night; expect a 12+ hour delay before I respond to any further posts.

Tristan has something on his mind and it's his belly. He doesn't know it, but he's heading directly into the arms of Nirellia Dimonia, that's if she is stillin Mililani's shop.

I'm sure he'll get around to the coins soonor or later.

Muulsh hums and haws

It might be good reading ..

Tristan runs by, followed by the bread merchant

Tch! A thief in the market. That boy is heading straight for the Debtor's Wheel if he isn't careful.

The omniportal on the edge of the square flares to life as Devlyn and Allura return to the Bazaar.

As the day begins to wind down, some of the merchants and vendors begin to pack up their wares and close shop, while others emerge and appear to be setting things up to open. Street lights are coaxed to life, and the Bazaar slowly changes into its 'evening regalia'.

"Well well, looks like things do stay interesting here after dark. Shopping, dancing, sidewalk dining and sightseeing - what's your pleasure, love?" Devlyn asks as he hooks her arm in his.

She smiles up at him as she takes his arm. "I think I'm in the mood for some dancing."

Allura wrote:

"Alright then - let's see what we can find around here!"

They start their search for a dancehall, or a square outside that has something already going on.

"Look!" Allura says, pointing to an open area cordoned off with strings of colorful lanterns high overhead. To one side there is a stage, on which is a group of minstrels playing a lively song. There are already a few couples out on the dance floor. "Looks like just the thing. Come on," she says, pulling him onto the dance floor with her.

"I was hoping we'd find one outside," he says with a grin as she is pulling him out. "And not too crowded yet, either. Perfect!"

Devlyn sweeps Allura up into the dance and gives the minstrels an excuse to keep the music lively :)

Between songs, Allura slips away for a moment and comes back wearing a gauzy dress with a low-cut bodice and fluttery skirts that will flare out when she spins, in a tasteful blend of blues and purples.

"This seemed a little more appropriate for the occasion," she said with a smile as they headed back onto the dance floor.

It seems to me than Nirellia would have had some sort of description/opinion from Mililani by now, and whilst she's patient, I need her elsewhere. Retroactively post the opinion of the heather if you like, Blue Pigeon, and any myths/lore you feel like making up about it.
Having listened courteously to the shopkeer's opinion, Nirellia thaks her, retrieves the heather, and hands her a phial of water.
From the oceans of Elysium, she explains. For use in the potions you brew.
She makes her way out of the shop, avoiding an encounter with the waif heading for it by a matter of seconds.
She heads across the bazaar to a stall where a female tiefling has a number of spit roasts, and gives the heather over to the tiefling with very specific and clear instructions on how she can dispose of it.
Then she wanders off out of the bazaar, looking thoughtful.

Devlyn takes her hand and gives her a slow, gentle spin, smiling with obvious approval.

"Oh I couldn't agree more, love. You're going to get tired of me saying you look beautiful at this rate," as he pulls her in for the next dance.

As the minstrels begin to play a slower dance, she moves closer to Devlyn, leaning her head against his shoulder with a small contented sigh as they dance.
"I'm pretty sure this is the most perfect day I've ever had. Thank you."

He gently kisses her hair as she leans against him.

"You're welcome Allura. I thought days like this had come and gone for me - I'm very glad to be proven wrong in that thought. So I guess I owe you some thanks as well," he says with a gentle chuckle as he holds her close and the dance goes on.

I'll be on and off for the next hour. My RL game is tonight, and one of our group is celebrating their birthday today as well, so I have much frivolity and suffering to prepare! :)

Gotcha - hope you folks have a great time at the beach!

I've got about half an hour until my people arrive, and most of what I can do now is done. If you want to just keep those two where they are now, that's fine. Or we can try to move them along so they are in an available position next week. Either works for me...:)

Let's just leave them where they are for now. If I end up with some daytime computer time during the week we can move them forward then. Or you can feel free to interact with what you like and assume that Allura tags along.

Done and done. I won't move them unless we have something big go down in another thread that requires everybody. I doubt that'll happen with both LJ and Alaina on hiatus, though... ;P

A young boy, about 12 or 14, walks through the Bazaar. He enters a small out-of-the-way shop and enters when he thinks no one is looking. An hour later, he walks out. His black leather armor is now studded with black opals. There is one on his chest, helm, upper and lower arms, uppern and lower legs, each foot and the back of each hand. No long after that he starts to explore the Bazzar.
If Devlyn cathes sight of the boy, he notices that he seems strangely familiar. To avoid time warps, he's not gonna leave until after, if at all, Devlyn decides to find out why the boy is so familiar.

Muulsh bargains hard for a few maps and codexes he finds in Jyssil's shop. He places several large golden coins on her counter

There we are Mistress. A pleasure doing business with you, but now it is time for my chamber luncheon. If you will excuse me?

Gesturing for his secretary to grab the items, Muulsh turns, and departs, bodyguards and secretary in tow.

Seeing that the pretty elf woman is gone, Tristan makes for the nearest sewer grate and disappears into the darkness.

..until the next morning.

Happy Monday all - argh. :)

DB3 - due to where Devlyn and Allura's story has left off, I doubt he's going to be paying much attention to anybody else ;)

Besides, it is now night at the Bazaar, and those two are off the beaten path away from a lot of the main shops anyway - I doubt he would have come around the square where they are dancing.

Gonna spoiler the next part for your eyes only just in case:

Spoiler:
If the boy is Oroth, then Devlyn has already seen him. When Oroth appeared before him and Angel at the Club after Innocent Blood's attack, they both scanned him with their Amulets of True Sight, though it may not have been apparent.

Also, Devlyn did ask everybody at the Oasis if they wanted him to get anything for them, though we had to set that up as an OOC comment because only lynora and I were online at the time. If Oroth and Aidan didn't say anything when he asked, that's fine. I just wanted to let you know that Devlyn did make the offer :)

Now to go try and catch up on everything else I missed!

Spoiler for The Dalesman.

Spoiler:
Who said anything about that not being his true form? A shadow of his future self so to speak. Of course True Sight could show a blurred image, maybe if your not looking directly at him?
