Pathfinder Society Guide Book v1.2 GameMaster "Playtest"

Pathfinder Society

I need 5 active Pathfinder Society members who are GMing Pathfinder Society scenarios ONLY and NOT playing to volunteer to read the final word document of the v1.2 rules once they're done. This would constitute a "playtest" read through so you, as a PFS GM, can help me make sure I've got it right. You'll get a credit in the guide book, so you have to be willing to share your real name with me and the public.

First 5 active members who are GMing ONLY who post here are my playtesters.

I'll be happy to help out.

I'd be happy to do it.

I'd like to help. I played the first two scenarios, but have only GMed since then (and will only GM from now on).

Scarab Sages

I'm also only GMing, and I've got some time to spare, so it's no problem for me to help out.

Liberty's Edge

i'll do it.

Crud, I'm number 6. Can I volunteer to be first on the reserve list? :)

I'm in the same situation as Paris Crenshaw. If it makes a difference, proof-reading and editing manuscripts is part of my job.

D'oh! Found this post too late!

Ah well, if you need and alternates or extra help, I'd be happy to do it.

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Just in case one of the others have played.

Or you want some extra help (more eyes are better).

Any news on when the 1.2. Guide is coming out?

Curse my Karma.

Too late to help

Liberty's Edge 2/5

Last I heard it was due out at GenCon.

Isn't the "2.0" version coming out at GenCon, with the release of the new Pathfinder rules?

My understanding was that the 1.2 rules will be a refinement of the current, Season 0 rules.

I haven't heard from Josh, myself, so I'm assuming he has either been very busy or he's chosen other folks to assist him. Has anyone else here heard from him?

I haven't heard anything from him yet. I'm assuming he's still busy finishing off the guide book.

This was my understanding as well. The Atomic Array PodCast seemed to imply that the new version would be out "soon".

"Soon" is quite relative. The new guidebook is always #3 on my list behind #1 development and assignment of scenarios and #2 organizing and planning Origins/PaizoCon II/Gen Con. As I have free time, I make adjustments to it. I can't promise a date other than to say it'll be done when I feel like it's finished and ready. Sorry I can't be more clear.

For what it's worth, Josh, I'll raise my hand and say that's fine with me. I would much rather a rules book be distributed later and correct rather than sooner but with errors and gaps.

Having said that, it would be very helpful to have, somewhere on these boards, a consolidated list of rulings (animal companions, shirts, which skills can be used for day jobs, whether we can run with tables of 3 or 7 players, ...) we can print out and show our players. Right now, things are messy.

I certainly agree that they're messy and my first order of business is consolidating such a list.

So how does that fall in among #1, #2, and #3 above? ;-p

I don't envy you much, Josh...but I definitely appreciate your hard work.

Paris, I don't understand what #1, #2, and #3 means. Can you clarify?

It falls just above 3.

Thanks for the reply, Josh. I was trying to be funny, but I realize it didn't really come across that way. It just seems like you (and most other Paizonians) have a lot of things at "the top" of each of your various lists.

Right now, though, your #1 priority is getting well.

Cheers!
Paris

The first five of you have mail.
