Uh... Whuh... Uh... I looked at the rules screen earlier and it said 10pm?!? I submitted my entry and it seemed to go through. Anyone know how I could tell if I slid in under the wire, or if I'm a chump with no luck?

From the Round 1 rules:
"Entries must be submitted through the submission tool at paizo.com/rpgsuperstar beginning at 2 PM Pacific time on December 5, 2008, and must be received by 2 PM Pacific time on January 2, 2009."
That means 5 PM Eastern time...or work it out from there if you're in a different timezone.

Well, you should have seen something along the lines of: Thank you for entering RPG superstar, good luck.
But I don't see that anymore, so maybe you should have entered yesterday. You know, just to give yourself another chance to enter today if it didn't go through yesterday?

Still... I don't know if I made it or not... I think I clicked on the link before the shutdown, because it took me to the entry screen. But I dunno if the submission went through...
Now I must go and commence the applying of my pedal appendage to my posterior. Possibly with a side of slap-meself-upside-the-head...

Ah well, I guess I shouldn't have left things to the last minute ... I only got back from holidays (with no internet access) about 12 hours ago ... I saw the 10pm thing and figured I had a while left before I could submit, thought I'd sleep on it before I put the finishing touches to my item and submit. Too late now.
Such is life.

Now that's interesting. I'd assumed that the time on the table was one of the US Times, not GMT.
Perhaps you could add a line on the front page telling people that the table is in their timezone (if set). I wasn't sure when the deadline was from the table.

And last year I was originally in the top 32, then someone did a word count and I was like 8 words over, so I got d-qed. GRRRR!!!!!!

And my item was all set....all I needed was the file for the price math, but it wouldn't unzip for me. So I had to get a friend to send me the unzipped version and I got it too late. GRRRRRRR!!!!!!

Maybe you could keep your item to yourself for a year and then use it for RPT Superstar 2010... (On the other hand, I'm sure we'd all love to see the item that "Coulda been a contenda")

I made the same mistake somehow, thinking the deadline was 1/5. Not sure how I came to that conclusion, but I suppose it means I'm not Superstarry enough to read the directions properly.
Having read some of the threads, I might well have been a bit too specific in my item anyway. It was based around a culture outlined in one of the Pathfinder books. The item could move to other campaign worlds, it was just intended to match some things that triggered my imagination in "official" setting.
