Liberty's Edge

ok... we need movement in this area :P

we have a few pending issues... but anyone up to create:

Void-Burn Shark?

What I am talking? Enormous shark with longer fins, its sking broken as if an old wall about tu crumble, from this "crumbles" its leaking a bright substance (green or purple if you ask), its teeth even more masive and scarry than normal sharks, its mouth still droping parts of its last meal.

can some1 make me a fat elemental?

HA! Ya just can't go wrong with monsters! Keep em coming.

Hi Drew!

You may recognize this monster form KQ9!!!! Yay!

just as the name implies, a fat elemental.

the fat elemental is like a manifestation of gluttony on a level seldom reached by humanity. it appears mostly as a rotund, corpulent man with teeth of shark, the chins of at least 7 men, beady eyes and with veins bulging at its skin. the fat elementals stand atop a mass of writhing fat and stangnant wine, smiling menacingly while dining on the flesh of children...

Oh, I thought you mean a fat elemental like a robust earth or fire elemental :D. If I find me some time I'll give it a shot! It may take a couple of weeks... I hope you are not in a hurry:P

Of course everybody else is free to give it a shot!

And here goes another pic:

Camazotz, the Bad God

This one is my firts "pro" illustration in color!

This one is property of Kobold Quarterly

Ooo, a monster drawing thread! If there’s one thing in life that might like more drawing cute anime girls is vicious looking monsters! Dragons are usually my favorite to draw but I’m looking into trying drawing some new creatures. So if anyone would like me take a stab at their monster let me know.

Here’s a couple of pictures of beasties that done already

Dragon fighting a knight
Undead monstrosity

Wanted to draw something strange so I decided to draw Tarran Dei’s stalker crab and eye clusters creatures

Aberrations

I think I’ll draw Montalve’s Void-Burn Shark next.

Its funny how you go for long times with creative spark, but once it hits you, you just cant stop drawing!

Litorian

Liberty's Edge

That's sweet.

Another unsolicited "monster" It appears in Kobold Ecologies, so it qualifies as Monster :P

This one didn't made it into the book, design layout and lack of awesomeness I suppose

Half-Giant, Psychic

Love it. I haven't checked in this thread in ages so this is a nice surprise!

The eye clusters were not at all how I envisioned them but I like them better than what I had thought up ... It's easier to see how they open now.

Thanks, glad you like it. I took a little artist license with descriptions. I wanted them tall enough that the crab could hide in them. I also thought that crab didn't need eyes cause the eye clusters could possible see for them.

on another note I decided to shade the void-burn shark with markers.

Liberty's Edge

Hugo, Jason, great colors! :D

I would like to see a MANFRO creature; this is a segmented, parasite creature that has a maw at front and a acidic gas ejector at the rear. This creature has humanoids as segments seperated by a couple feet of ghe creature. the creature burrows through a humanoiod stomach - not stopped by armor or anything else, threw the back and joins the victim to become part of the MANFRO.

so imagine a powerful creature that has wizards and warriors and monks and whatnot facing back to front or backwards; the creature attacks by snaking around and each of the segements fights; the creature animates each person of the segment and can use their memories and powers if they have any. If each segment has about 50 hit points; if you destroy a middle section; the creature breaks in half and you have two creatures; so it is best - but dangerous - to fight the front or rear sections.

This is an epic creature in my world that I think the original idea came from Palladium.

to pop my drawing tablet cherry, I'll take this MANFRO creature on

....

Anyone up for drawing a mushroom-man-beastie?

The original idea for a more Golarion-eque Myconid is posted here.

The jist of it's description is that the 'warrior caste' have mushroom like caps, with spore-launching openings, and where a normal mushroom would have a trunk, they have seven intertwining vine-like stalks that wrap around each other until they reach the ground, and then split off into seven waving tentacles, which which they can lash out, or wield shields (made from the cast-off caps of smaller fungus-people), scimitars and / or alchemical weapons. A warrior stands on four of it's stalk-tentacles (which fan out about three feet in all directions and pull the creature along the ground), and uses one to hold a shield, a second to hold a scimitar and a third to either lash out (having a displacer-beast like toothed pad at the end of each tendril) or hurl alchemical acid, tanglefoot bags, etc, usually contained in leathery-looking 'wineskins' made from woven fibers (and treated to be acid-resistant on the inside, for those used to contain acid). Otherwise, they appear to wear or carry no other gear (keeping any extra alchemical missiles stored within their 'trunk,' by parting their central tendrils and just slipping the item inside, then closing them up again, holding it snugly within themselves).

The warriors are man-sized, roughly, although smaller workers (with only five tendrils) and larger leaders also exist.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone (or several someones) wants to run with this!

You could say this is a "Character" but I hink is better suited for this thread :D

Guard, Warforged Juggernaut

Again, if some is interested in the original drawing of any of the monsters, please contact me. I'll be shipping these out now that I'll be up at PaizoCon. These are at a very reasonable price! -so I heard ;)
