Missing and incorrect Feats...

General Discussion (Prerelease)

(I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, so if it belongs in Playtest, can a mod move it? Thanks!)

In the Ranger class description (p.36), it lists Deft Shield as an available combat feat for a two-weapon Ranger. This feat is not listed anywhere in the book.

Also, in the master list of Feats (p.80), it lists Double Slice as giving a +2 bonus to attacks with your offhand. On page 85, Double Slice lets you add your full Strength bonus to off-hand damage rolls. Which is correct?

Ranger is also missing from the combat style

Exact Targeting from 5th Level
Pinpoint Targeting from 11th Level.

Feats are listed on the feat list for Ranger but not in the Print Book in the descriptions of the feats.

Kind of makes making a bow based ranger difficult with out those feats.

Pinpoint Targeting is listed as well as explained (p. 92), at least in the pdf, as for the print book, I unfortunately haven't got mine yet...

Greetings, Daniel

Off hand i would say that exact targetting got preplaced *back* with percise shot, improved precise shot. Can I voice my opinoin that they should be changed back to the alpha version with careful targetting and exact targetting?

Double Slice (Combat)

When wielding two weapons, your off-hand weapon can be
used with great effectiveness
Prerequisite: Dex 15, Two-Weapon Fighting.
Benefit: Add your Strength bonus to damage rolls made
with your off-hand weapon.
Normal: You normally add half your Strength modifier
to damage rolls made with your off-hand weapon.

I'm sure the PDF will get an update as soon as Jason gets back and can get to it.

Cool, thanks guys. Is Deft Shield taken from a different supplement or something? Where can I find it?

I'm really eager to try out the Pathfinder Ranger...

What is/where is the DEFT SHIELD Feat?

From the alpha 3 document:

Deft Shield (Combat)
You are skilled at striking your foes with your shield while
still protecting yourself.
Prerequisites: Shield Proficiency, Two-Weapon Fighting.
Benefit: You do not lose your shield bonus to your AC
if you hit with a shield bash. You lose your shield bonus
to AC if your shield bash attack misses. You still take the
standard penalties on attack rolls for wielding two weapons
if you also attack with your melee weapon.
Normal: You lose your shield bonus to your AC if you use
your shield to make a shield bash attack.

They chose to kill the feat and revert back to Improved Shield Bash so there was the option to keep the AC when shield bashing without needing two-weapon fighting feat (and at least a dex of 15).
