I'm considering "rebooting" my AoW campaign with a new group, and would like to place it in Golarion. I've seen the other threads regarding placement of cities, etc. but was curious about how the overall plot might fit. Obviously Kyuss is not part of the pantheon, and there's no other "imprisoned god" currently identified in Golarion. I suppose that Kyuss (or a similar entity) could be used outside of the existing pantheon, but I'd love to hear others' thoughts about how to more effectively integrate the campaign into the Pathfinder setting. I'd really like to keep the close tie to undead, but I'm fine with dropping the worms altogether. :)

Rovagug is imprisoned. God of wrath and destruction, with a bit of an insect fetish. Sounds like a decent substitute for Kyuss. Or perhaps Kyuss could be Urgathoa and Rovagug's child, locked away due his being the only one who can truly free his father from imprisonment, Urgathoa agreeing to bear the Rough Beast's (Rovagug's child) so that she and her undead servants might survive the destruction of the world that Rovagug will unleash.

In my other (homebrew) campaign, I called it the Age of Darkness. Different prophecies and such called it different things, but darkness, death, and undeath were always involved.
I didn't realize that Rovagug was imprisoned- I'll have to take a look at his info- good suggestion. :)
