A recent conversation about campaign coins...
My girlfriend has been trying to figure out what to get me for my birthday, and I mentioned these to her. Last night I apparently ordered them. I'm guessing she didn't notice that I was still logged into the paizo site from her computer, so she ordered them through my account.
Which sucks, because my birthday is MONTHS from now. And I have to pretend I don't know she ordered them. POOP!
Hopefully she at least used her own credit card....
Nope, C.O.D.! Coins On Delivery!(I know, I know, no one likes a smart ass...)
Yep, and the site remembers it, and she's lucky I love her, or I'd max it out on Warmachine miniatures. :)
Though I must admit, hardcore gamer that I am, "maintain steady relationship" vs "complete Cryx army" was a toss-up. Could've went either way.
Is there any way, other than closing down the account everytime we leave the Paizo site, to ensure that nobody orders something thru someone's account when a computer is shared? It could be set up so someone has to re-enter their password before going to the payment page.

My only suggestion would be standard shared-computer practice: Log out of Paizo.com when you leave your computer and set up separate accounts for yourself and any house mates.
Note that you can also choose not to remember your credit cards for future orders; using that option would minimize your risk in a shared computing environment.

But what about those of us who havn't entered our passwords in over 2 years - Mine is probably a name of a girlfriend 3-4 girlfriends ago by now and I don't want to have to remember that

I was the aforementioned happy recipient and would like to point out that I was totally joking when I said I'd max out my girlfriend's card on Cryx figures. I love you honey!
I do find it very strange that I can be logged in from multiple computers without having any of them reset, as most sites are set up to prevent exactly this (and most sites don't have my credit cards on record). I'm extremely glad I never logged into this site from a school computer to check the messageboards.

This seems to be standard operating procedure on the other sites I use.
Of course, I've got firefox set to forget passwords when it's closed, too. Me so paranoid.

We set our own passwords? I thought those were things you requested special when websites forgot you said stay logged in forever. ;)
